  1. This mackem cunt with his ‘United’ banter wants the fucking sack.
  2. Agreed, what’s going on here? Love Sandro but he’s not been himself for quite a while.
  3. Tonali so poor on the ball lately. What’s happened to him? Gordon’s press has been decent at times, but offers us so little on the ball. Standard Murphy performance, shite in general play but has put in some really good balls in.
  4. The experiment is over. Come back Pope, asap please 🙏

According to the bloke running the stadium tour recently, we have a lot of demand for the directors boxes. But I don’t think our lower hospitality options are up to scratch, the offsite packages in particular. But the only way we’d ever maximise the hospitality potential of a new stadium is if spending rules were lifted. I think the Saudi’s are seeing the limitations of our ability to generate income because of this. They don’t want to put billions into something that will only ever be 7th best in the league.
  6. I have to say I was pleased when we signed him and it is great to see what a keeper comfortable on the ball brings to the team. But he just isn’t great at the basics you need from a keeper at this level. Good free kick but it’s come a long way, not hit hard and is at a decent height for a save to be made.
  7. 100% penalty, I honestly can’t see how it’s even debatable. Way too much force and not shoulder to shoulder. Just one of those days where we could have had 4 or 5 but luck wasn’t with us. Be interesting to see what happens in the next two away games. If we don’t win either, it’s going to be a long second half of the season.

Will somebody please find a way to give this to relevant people at the club. Maybe minus the last two bullet points!

Agreed. They have the most generic of songbooks, but I enjoyed how little they care about this.

As others have said, the atmosphere was better than feared but still not great. Fair play to the corner for really trying to lift things. For all I think I'd love to get a season ticket, not sure I'd take one if it wasn't in the corner, or the Gallowgate at a stretch. The lack of atmosphere is soul destroying and I always feel awkward thinking I'm part of the problem tonight, but I'm not one to sing loudly on my own.

That was a class away end. Shit game but it didn’t really matter. West Brom fans were good craic too.
  12. 8.15pm kick offs are atrocious. Think they'll make a lot of changes and it'll be a relatively easy 2-0 win for us.

Plus we do it in our own ground. We’ve all seen tickets pop up then to find they are ‘youth only’
  14. Not a massive fan of XG but looking at that it would have taken us four games to get a single goal on average

When I started going to aways at about 20 years old, I got points for every game I applied for even if I didn't get a ticket. This allowed me to get enough points to start going to aways and then build up to a point I could get to most. We should have a young person singing section and give them decently priced STs, in Level 7 corner. Then a % of away allocation for under 25s with the ability to get points as above.
  16. Honestly, how are people questioning Tonali’s ability after a few bad games. He’s been outstanding for us for so long now, genuinely one of the best midfielders we’ve ever had. Something’s clearly not right, him being subbed off in the middle of the derby for Willock would never have happened otherwise. If he’s injured, we need to rest him because keeping flogging him and seeing these kind of performances isn’t doing anybody any good.

Honestly, me too. Thought we’d handled the first 20 great, expecting us to push on, and then…nothing.
  18. We always get told we need to be better sellers and getting decent money in for Gordon is a prime example of this. I think his reputation is still strong from Champs League performances and that he gets in the England team. If we can get decent money for him, we should sell. I really like Botman but his injury record tells me he’ll want a better deal than we’ll be willing to give. I’d sell him too. In terms of buying we have to get much better and more confident with buying from abroad. We did brilliant with Isak, Tonali, Bruno etc then haven’t followed this up, instead going for expensive Premier League players. There’s far more value in Europe and a strong desire by many to come and play in the premier league at a champions league club. We need to capitalise on this more.

100% this. Plus we lost a lot of vocal supporters who quit their STs when Rafa left. It’s left the away tickets exclusively to those who kept their STs on under Ashley. This is certainly not a criticism of anyone, but we’ve lost a lot of our most vocal, more invested/emotional hardcore support. It’s still relevant because the club have put nothing in place to bring those fans back or do anything to bring a new generation of fans through. We’re stuck with an aging ST/away crowd who on average are more visibly apathetic when it comes to following NUFC. This is not a slight on their dedication to following the team home and away, that is never is question. But forget recent results, this is my biggest concern about us as a club and our identity. We’ve become the very thing we used to be the opposite of when looking at other clubs. Turn up, sit in silence - rinse and repeat.

I wasn’t there today but I’ve always found them to not really get going as a crowd for decent stints. Mind, when they scored it was loud as fuck, particularly when we were at the other end of the ground.
  21. Bruno took some responsibility in the second half to try to get us going. Must be hard when he looks around at what he was playing with today.

    Malick Thiaw

Absolutely immense today. What a player.
  23. Looking at the fixtures, it’s getting to be now or never for us in the league. Decent looking run up until late Jan, things could be looking a lot different by then. But today needs to be a massive wake up call and Eddie needs to find a way to get a tune out of this team.
