Yeah I got one top of the first tier of the Milburn between Leazes. Had already bought a ticket for Norwich match (east stand) but looked and saw tickets for this sat so thought why not. -

Looking forward to this. Just bought a “posh” seat for £58, thought fvck it when I saw there were tickets available. Not been for 2.5yrs. Should be a good atmosphere but intrigued to see how we respond to the situation and adapt. Will take time to adjust though. -
I remember the Telegraph and a few others in town used to show 3pm matches on Saturdays. Do any pubs still do that? Cheers

i was listening to Hawksbee and Jacobs earlier and the European football pundit they had on (Andy someone) was saying he thought both Favre and Emery would be very good choices. Favre seemingly can get quick results. Emery seems like he’d be a bit of a Rafa type character, massive attention to detail.

With Wilson back and ASM looking lively I think we’ll be alright but god only knows what’ll happen next season if we stay up, more of the same shite I guess.
-
Totally agree, it’s pretty clear that he’s completely lost the dressing room. It’s an international break, has to happen because they’re down as it is with this clown. Removing him gives them a chance
-
Completely agree. What’s the point in us staying in the premier league anyway when we have to endure the farce that we’re seeing. I’m completely apathetic to it all now
-
Imagine an “im Spartacus” moment where each player stands up at the training ground saying they are the mole ?
-
Yes Sunday is really a sliding doors moment. If they win I think they’ll go on and cobble together enough results/points particularly as Pool could beat Fulham. The gap could be 6. Lose and the implosion will continue
-
It’s absurd that should we lose against West Brom that he wouldn’t be sacked
-
I think we’re pretty much done. The injuries combined with the complete cluelessness and lack of leadership from the manager will see us down. You could argue there’s still a chance to remove him and get someone in to gee the lads up and at least give them some clarity. Won’t happen though.
-
Well summed up. Same mistakes, time and again, is it any surprise we are where we are with the ludicrous decisions that are made ?♂️
-
I was thinking this yesterday. Probably clutching. They’ve had a really really good run and they’re still 3 points behind. If we win a couple of games in the next few, they lose and the points gap looks big again it’ll be a huge mental hurdle for them to overcome. We need to do our bit and get some wins though. Our season will go a long way to being decided in the next 4-5 games. If we somehow pull out some results and Fulham drop some points in the tougher fixtures we may just pull clear. Conversely if they continue to do well and we struggle it’s goodnight Irene

Just complete stubborn madness

Down with Bruce. 13 games after tonight, change is needed, now
-
9 the way I’m feeling now. There’s just no leadership ready for a relegation scrap from the manager and I think our players will feel the weight of pressure. We’ve been rudderless for months and the only way we stay up is if Fulham stutter and Wilson comes back and scores a few. Bar a takeover we’ll go down next season anyway if Bruce stays ?♂️
-
Is as expected we lose tomorrow and then lose at home to Wolves maybe it’ll finally be dawning on the fat controller that we are very much at risk of going down with the idiot he’s put in charge
-
Anything form the next two is obviously a bonus. The 4 after that, Wolves home, West Brom away, Vile home and Brighton away are crucial to me particularly Brighton and West Brom.
-
Put Willock in CM for Hendrick, add Fraser to the front 4, Hayden alongside Willock when we have more CB options (can’t believe I’m saying this but I’d even put Paul fucking Dummett there until the other CBs are fit). Think that could be a decent forward 6 until the summer then either buy Willock and upgrade on Hayden or sign two new CMs. Yep true about Fraser- ASM, Almiron and Fraser behind Wilson. Hayden sitting in front of normal back four and Willock next to him. Hendrick and Shelvey are piss poor but I have that awful feeling Bruce will persist with them. Shelvey’s always been consistently inconsistent and increasingly shite in recent times. His deliveries are atrocious
-
When was the last time we saw one of midfielders make a run and score a goal like that?
-
If ASM, Wilson, Almiron and Willock play regularly together rest of the season, we’ll be ok. Some great running there for the counter attack
-
What a difference for ASM playing with Wilson and vice versa.
-
It’s very tiresome watching him play isn’t it

Newcastle vs Southampton - 06/02/21 @ 15:00 (live on BT Sport)

Huge game for Bruce, lose this and we’re in major trouble (aren’t we already) and he’ll kop a load fo flack from everywhere and rightly so. Pressure’s on, get it done. Rather than going for it I worry we’ll retreat into our shells
