Another Debuchy debacle on the cards??
  2. Yeah you'd have to hope that the players they were looking at in the summer they're going back in for or have other targets. I think it's ingrained in me that we won't sign anyone though. Hoping for a Cisse-esque surprise like last jan but I'm not getting my hopes up at all.
  3. I think we'll give it a good go but to put all that effort in at old trafford and come away with nothing is surely really draining for the players. Plus Arsenal have had that extra rest and know we will be tired. I think they'll come out of the blocks hard. I suppose everyone thought we'd get turned over at old trafford though and that wasn't the case.
  4. With Marveaux's emergence I could handle not getting an attacking player in. That obviously changes if Ba goes. Would love to see reinforcements at the back though, would make the side so much better.
  5. Definitely agree with that. I think a solid CH is more important than a RB. The thought however of a quality RB who can attack, take on a man and cross is the stuff dreams are made of
  6. He seems to have taken this defeat really badly and so he should in a sense. Maybe the atrocious defending for the winning goal will finally get ball rolling to replace those clowns at the back. Pardew must be doing his nut in when he sees goals like that go in but its only going to keep on happening again and again and again until they're replaced. Ridiculous achilles heel which is costing us stupid amounts of points.
  7. The weaknesses at the back with Simpson and Williamson are so glaringly obvious now it's embarrassing ffs.
  8. Great effort from the lads but absolutely gut wrenching to lose in the end. BUY SOME FUCKING SOLID DEFENDERS..............how much longer do we have to wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :'(
  9. This ^^^ A stable/sensible Tiote, a tenacious Anita and Cabaye just a bit further ahead of the two pulling the strings is what we need
  10. Yeah we're only 3 points off West Ham who have been having a "good" season. Things can turn around very quickly the way the league is
  11. I really hope so too .........but if we get to the end of Jan and I hear Pardew giving it the "well we can be proud we've held onto all our best players" line I'll be
  12. I see myself as being far from negative on here but listening to Pardew after the QPR match saying "we've been really good the last 4 or 5 games" made me really shake my head with concern. Alright there's been atleast a bit more effort but the general play has still been bollocks as a whole.
  13. He's nicely inbetween Tiote and Cabaye in terms of a player. Great skill and tenacity and looking forward to seeing him play with Cabaye when he's back
  14. I don't doubt there's a few issues between players but most teams have that and its symptomatic of the every work place. A "player war" sounds a bit far fetched and dramatic though and a headline to clearly sell papers.
  15. Bosingwa refusing to get on the coach because he knew he was going to be a sub
  16. Sturridge has got an awful attitude problem
  17. Well said Ian W (and Pilko) , the depressing fatalistic mentality on here from many gets really boring
  18. calm down ffs Complete overreaction
  19. Have I written a match review saying how brilliant we were today? Er no. Am I unrealistic about how we played today? No
  20. Yeah that decision to start ANita, Tiote and Perch really got to me from the off. He started Marveaux against Wigan and alright it was against 10 men for most the match but must have seen enough to give him a run out today.
  21. I disagree while we've been shite pretty much the whole of this 1st half of the season we tend to raise our game against the better sides so I think we can give Everton a decent game. Norwich are doing well but their not unbeatable. Man U and Arsenal away will be the usual defeats, fair enough. We're having a piss poor season but I don't see the need to completely throw in the towel in.
  22. Don't be ridiculous, ofcourse Everton and Norwich aren't write offs
