Inspite of all the wider issues at the club, unbelievable that he couldn't even get this side to finish in 17th. Really outdid himself in terms of how shit he was. Became clear early on that he was utterly clueless and was having zero effect on the players. Couldn't improve the attack and the defense was a shambles. I'd go as far to say he's the worst manager we've had. Souness was fucking diabolical to be fair but I hated him for his arrogance. I'll always remember McClaren smiling in interviews after another disastrous defeat.....fucking smiling man. Just shows how completely out of touch he was.

Can't stand them but they bought a proven goal scorer and have players who fight for the shirt whereas we don't. That's ultimately been the difference.

We've at least made Sunderland question things a bit now. A few games ago we were dead and buried and they were seemingly coasting to survival. Now they know they have a scrap on right to the finish and that's a big factor.

Ashley says in his latest interview he has zero impact on the club and employs this fuckwit to run the club. Charnleys tenure has been nothing more than an unmitigated disaster.

No chance we're staying up. Club needs to start again completely and hopefully at some point we'll be Ashley free.
