He’ll be gone in the summer or maybe even a later Jan deal if it means we can get a RW in.
-
But they didn’t 😂
-
Yeah he’s just not good enough sadly, should be dominating things
-
He's been really really poor, doesn’t really add anything to our play

Hopefully it’s just a minor knock or niggle and they’re resting him for the two games close together next week. I agree though does seem to pick things up very easily. -
Bruno has the feel of a big player moving on abroad particularly if we win a cup this season. That being said if we get champions league he’ll probably stay.
-
Completely pointless isn’t it😂
-
I watched this last night, was going to post it

Key RW and CB targets are more likely attainable in summer I agree
-
Yes it’s nicely to feel like we’re building a side gradually and it’s changing organically. I never expected us to be able to do a City/Chelsea but these current rules are absurd the way they’ve hamstrung us. Looking at our squad the positive and exciting slant is we’re a few key signings from going to the next level again next season. A R CB with pace, a RW who can score goals and win games, a back up striker (the RW may cover this role too) and possibly another attacking midfielder who can open up defences. I just hope we get champions league again and are able to keep the big guns whatever happens because it feels like we’re back on track and the players must feel it too.

FA Cup represents a chance for Silverware so Howe will have enough of the experienced pros about to see us through to the next round whether that’s starting or on the bench. -
I think the targets will have to wait until summer I agree.
-
16k wasn’t it? That’s a pathetic attendance from them yesterday
-
Heard a few people mention that Arsenal could opt for Ollie Watkins in the summer
-
Apologies if already posted but actually a really good assessment from an Arsenal fan singing our praises as to his how good we really were.
-
I don’t think we need a project player at RW, we need someone who can come in and make a difference pretty quickly. They usually cost a fair chunk of money unless Mitchel can pull sometime out of his arse with his contacts.
-
Agree with all of that
-
I have a feeling we won’t add a RW until summer as they either won’t be available this month or will cost too much.
-
Yeah that’s a killer front 6
-
Madueke signed a 7 year contract in 2023 fwiw
-
He was in blinding form earlier in the season, has he fallen out with the manager recently? Wasn’t he benched for something which sounded like a fallout or conduct issues
-
Literally ideal for our RW, hasn’t there been some character related issues at Chelsea recently tho? Has he been starting games or on the bench?

I don’t think Dubravka will stay beyond this season, he’ll want game time. That said he absolutely has a role to play between now and the end of the season. It’s become apparent from various reports that we don’t stand do make anything PSR wise moving him on other than his weekly wage which is negligible. We stand to lose far more than gain if he moves now (the caveat being unless they have a plan B to Pope coming in such as a Trafford but even then that’s rolling the dice a bit as it’s not guaranteed to work).
-
Yes basically and nobody is genuinely thinking he’s going to stay fit for long if he does come back. However he could make a huge difference in a tilt at the top four if he can at least come on for Isak or play with Isak in tight games as he has a knack of scoring poacher goals and gives us a different look. I just hope he can get something resembling fitness once he’s back to play a part in champions league qualification before he leaves at the end of the season.

It’s an interesting debate. Generally everything is a lot more settled for any goal keeper playing. Burn is in great form, Botman is back, both fullbacks playing really well and Tonali protecting the back four and providing so much solidity is a game changer. I think Pope will be a lot more settled once he comes back but he has looked very shaky particularly on crosses where he never used to be shaky. His kicking and distribution with his feet is truly awful but maybe with Botman back and Tonali there we can get round that and if he’s in form with his shot stopping then the defence will be back to that 22/23? levels. Currently tho you’d say Dubravka has start even if Pope was back but my guess is Pope would come back in for the Saints away match if Howe wants him as a number 1?
