I like him a lot and think he’d be a great squad addition but I’d be worried about him being on top wages. I think he still needs to prove his fitness by playing 70+ minutes for 35+ games in a season before he gets a contract with parity to some of our top earners personally

No way can you give those wages to a player who’s got such an unreliable injury record. Prove your fitness and your quality first

If he does stay it’s really interesting from a player power perspective. You’ve got Isak pulling every tricky to try and get a move with three years on his contract. We’ve been desperate to keep him and might not be able to do it. Guehi is the opposite end of the coin. His owner wouldn’t let him go after a huge offer last year and he didn’t try to push it but he can screw his club in a different way by staying and leaving for nothing

Sounds like classy and respectful Liverpool are low-balling and Guehi is terrified of getting no game time to me. Parish is going to have to enjoy his £0 superstar price for a superstar player. Almost every match he comes within inches of stealing the ball off the GK at least once and it causes them to spray it out for a throw-in. I think his pressing of defenders is less successful

I don’t have any concerns about the effort he’ll put in. He’ll do some brilliant pressing but he’s just not a natural CF for a few different reasons (physicality in duels, finishing, movement). Going to have to hope that some devastating pace from Elanga can open up some cut backs

Starting to feel confident about the season ahead now. Our squad is still thin for what we have ahead but just got to hope that some of the younger players can pitch in and Eddie trusts them. It all still hangs on the strikers though

Gallagher can do a lot more than run. He’s extremely good at shielding the ball and he’s very tidy with releasing the ball quickly

We should at least not act like they’re like for like on fitness. Willock’s body is confetti. Ramsey has had issues but he’s far from a lost cause where Willock looks close to done

He takes Willock’s and potentially Joelinton’s depending on the opposition and squad rotation

It’s such a weird one. He’s a quality player and instantly improves us, he has real playmaking qualities as well as the ability to break very fast like Willock but he’s much stronger, much more committed. Just got to hope that he can stay fit because if he can he’ll be a brilliant player for us. I wonder what the set up will be though on the left hand side of midfield
