  1. I agree, the only issue or question mark is that it’s clearly a signing that matches our long term strategy of buying young prospects who are going to be class. However, we need a second goalkeeper who can play if Pope gets injured and we don’t need a 21-year old keeper on the bench week in week out so what’s the plan? Sign him, loan him out and then loan in a back up GK? It’s not ideal but if that’s the plan I can understand it
  2. I stand by the statement that Matterface doesn’t either enjoy or understand football on even a basic level
  3. Might be the worst bit of football I’ve ever seen from Fury there
  4. Essien one of the all time premier league greats
  5. Someone’s going to get a nasty injury on this pitch
  6. Would be good for him and us
  7. The one time I enjoyed this was when someone crocked Gordon Ramsay. Was it Teddy Sheringham that did him in?
  8. You’re not a Newcastle fan so stop posting like you are, it’s painful
  9. Ah man, sad to hear that. Hope he can make a recovery, whatever the issue is
  10. This idea that we have abandoned a model? What on Earth is that based upon? We couldn’t buy in January due to our financial situation so what evidence is there that we’re changing our model? And what is our model anyway? We look to buy young players who are only going to improve but have the potential to be one of the best in their position over the next five years. That’s true of people we buy from abroad or from the UK. Don’t understand why people are so desperate to try and read into things where there’s barely any evidence of it
  11. He looked a great prospect three years ago. Now, for £30m? Looks like a classic Everton disaster play. Given their financial situation what would a bid for Broja mean about outgoings?
  12. Wouldn’t be keen on either although I recognise that they’re back up. Agree that I’d take DCL over Iheanacho every time too
  13. He’s a fucking idiot who’s used to getting what he wants and bullying people into it. What he doesn’t realise is that he’s not the biggest bully in the playground anymore
  14. Would much prefer that people weren’t allowed to game the system like fuck. How is that fair on other teams? I don’t want some system where we just join the five or six clubs that have it all sewn up. I watch sport because I want it to be competitive and relatively fair. If PSR rules actually made football fairer they’d be great but I don’t think that’ll happen. In all likelihood our only route to success will be about essentially cheating our way there through things that shouldn’t be allowed. Think I’d stop watching us if that was the case
  15. Great job regulating football you stupid fucks. Let Chelsea get away with murder for literally three decades while clamping down on clubs who actually try and build more sustainably. The game is absolutely fucked right now
  16. I’m not insulting them, they’re clearly a fantastic football club in most departments. What they’ve achieved and the way they’ve gone about it is remarkable. However, a 31-year old who’s had a couple of seasons in the second division of the Bundesliga coming to just about the most difficult league in the world feels like a major risk
  17. Sounds on paper like a disaster waiting to happen. Is this the season where Brighton crash?

    Alexander Isak

    He’s so likeable
  19. Dubravka is sadly completely done at this level. Trafford is clearly someone with loads of room to grow. If he’s not there just yet I’d be astonished if he’s not up the standard of Dubravka as of last season. Dubravka can’t claim a ball, his reactions are slow, his positioning and being stuck to his line basically gives a striker all the time they need to place it. I have nothing against Dubravka and think he’s served us well but he absolutely has to go this window
  20. What’s his ability like with his feet? Both distribution but also receiving under pressure?
  21. Anyone seen him play enough to make a judgement?

Fairly confident we’ll go far, there’s just too much quality in the squad to not go far and say what you want about Southgate tactically but the players do want to be there and do care whereas I think the “golden age” squad were a lot more selfish
