Not having Jow is fucking us on that front. Even though teams would play through us, he’d lung bust back and snatch it most of the time. Miggy can do a similar snatch job. Theres one issue, which is being played through in the first place. The second issue is not having the pace and power to win it back when we do get played through

I don’t get it though, why does he do all the off field stuff? To try and cultivate a good image? Surely it feels like too much effort for no major benefit to him? The whole team were awful on the ball tonight though until the last fifteen mins. I agree that it’s a fundamental issue going forward and that technically he isn’t good enough to start for us if we want to be a top six team consistently. However, tonight, I thought he was better than he’s been at any time since he came back

He did some great work all game off the ball and his late runs really helped us create some problems against them. Scored as well a fine finish. Struggle to see how he can be criticised tonight, was one of our best players

I get that we were desperate for the win today so not surprised he didn’t start. It is odd that he gets no minutes when he’s clearly a really good player. I agree that off the pitch he’s advocated for things I agree with. I struggle to reconcile it with how much of an awful dickhead he is in relation to everything football. Part of me wonders whether the reason he’s leaving is because he realises how toxic and angry he’s become at Liverpool and he doesn’t want to feel that way anymore

I think Howe’s played that well. I want Joelinton to stay at pretty much all costs but it’s up to him. I’m sure we’ve offered him a decent deal but he probably wants top dollar. Will he get paid more by another club? Probably there are clubs yes, but he’s been on an amazing career trajectory for us and played the best football of his life. I think he‘ll sign and he’ll be one of the top four earners, behind Bruno and Tonali. Anyone got an accurate breakdown of our player’s wages?
