Well, it’s decent wages gone and a fee for a player that we’ll sell in the summer. I don’t think it’s a bad deal for us financially. It could just affect us if Pope picks up an injury. If he doesn’t, it’s a good deal for us
-
To be honest, the move ends up being great for us if Pope stays fit. We make money and may have a cheap but effective second keeper in Karius

An injury to ASM leaves our options on the wing so poor. If we’re in any position to qualify for Europe come January we need to get that right winger in then

Wish we could have warned them somehow but this is the price we pay for being deluded. -
Also, I wasn’t watching earlier but their loan striker, Simms, must have got injured as he was subbed off before half time. He’s looked very good so if he’s out for any length of time that’ll screw them over

Going to give mine to King Charles so he doesn’t kill one of his aides

Nah, there’s absolutely no chance a side starting Pritchard are going to get promoted
-
Outrageously good goal that, Mowbs is coaching them well
-
Unless they get picked up by the right owner it’s going to be a sorry descent for them. Hopefully they can get a decent owner in as Eddie did an amazing job building them up to be a top flight club

The All-Star NBA game is just a joke, no defence, no actual competitive element, just players going for shots uncontested. It’s the kind of thing that non-sports fans love as you get to see all the big names in one place. Even the dunk contest has gone to shit

He was absolutely shit, we didn’t have xG in those days but Cisse’s actual goals against xG must have been +8. He had a brilliant squad of players and had us playing awful football and getting incredibly snide wins by a goal. Ben Arfa also got him out of a jail a few times despite the snake screwing him over in the long run

Hope they have a screen up at 70 mins with VAR Decision: DEAD

Viduka was my favourite out of him, Martins and Owen at the end of that season. Disgusting memories
-
Let’s hope he turns out better than Curtis Good
-
Nunez would piss me off if he played for us, there’s no doubt he’d get a lot of goals but he’s not reliable and his overall game is amongst the poorest out of strikers at the highest level

If Watford aren’t top 3 by Christmas then they need a new manager. With that squad they should be coming back up
-
It’s just a bit odd though, football is the biggest global sport by an enormous margin and the premier league is the most successful league out of any sport worldwide right? I understand why people come up with daft shite like the hundred in cricket because it’s struggling but why try to come up with loads of new ideas for something that’s working? The reason the football pyramid is fucked financially is down to rampant capitalism, not some flaw in the system

To SJP? Karius already picked up an injury?

Often right wingers are involved in charitable work, e.g. they have a charitable domain to their business so they can be tax exempt. Often charitable work is generally a way for them to extend their wealth

Surely the only way he ends up being great for us is if Pope picks up an injury, no? Or, he revitalises himself and builds his confidence back up and we sign him up to a longer contract and he gets games in the cups / Europe when we manage to get there. The first option (Pope injury) would be a disaster and the second option could take some time so I struggle to see his pathway to getting back to being a first choice keeper with us

Henderson is a good lad who’s made the absolute most of his footballing ability due to being a model professional. Wonder if in three years we’ll see him do a season or two for the mackems. Can see Klopp wanting to phase him out relatively soon
-
Wonder when we’ll get confirmation of the term, surely just end of the season but potentially with option to continue if we like what we see? Tough to see how he can reignite his career as it would rely on a Pope injury and that’s our worst nightmare. However, I’d really like him to get back to the sort of level he showed pre-disaster as he seems like a real pro

Thank fuck this is going ahead, think we’ll come in on a high given that the players will be well rested and desperate to perform. Think it could be a relatively comfortable win
