  1. If this were to fall through I’d be more concerned about Howe and his demands than our side. Mostly I’d be concerned about the fact we’d be pretty fucked though
  2. He’ll get us organised and I like his philosophy. I’m quietly optimistic, we bring in the right players in January and I think we’ll stay up
  3. The role is high risk, high reward. I could see it being hugely tempting to anyone who’s not already managing a successful club or one in Europe. We’re going to have huge transfer resources available to turn things around, we’re likely going to be revolutionising all aspects of the club to make it elite in terms of training facilities. A lot of managers with confidence would back themselves to make something special of this opportunity
  4. I’ve got nothing against Howe, he seems like a good guy and I think he did a pretty decent job at Bournemouth. I’m not expected by the prospect of him coming in, however, it definitely wouldn’t be a bad appointment. As mentioned above, I’d be very confident we’d go down with Lampard or Martinez. With Howe, my major concern is how he’d be in the transfer market but if we have a director of football pulling those strings I’d be confident we could get the players in, in January to avoid relegation
  5. Get the fuck in, not my top choice but punching so far above what we could have dreamed of over a month ago. I think he’s a better long-term candidate than many other names that were touted as well
  6. I remember asking over a week ago about whether the fans would turn on him and it’s certainly been toxic online, you still don’t think people will turn in the stands?
  7. Fuck me, if we somehow got Rafa back I’d be over the moon. I want a manager with that integrity and that absolute obsession for the game involved in our club
  8. I like this new feature where you can see who said what, means we can out the freaks from now on
  9. Is ole someone you can trust to roll his sleeves up? I can only think of one man I’d trust in this situation
  10. Aye, people wanted us to remain a laughing stock club, the other clubs aren’t laughing now. I understand why fans hated us in the Owen era and how it was hilarious for them when we went down twice. That’s football, I’ll find it hilarious when we start winning things and some of them get relegated. That’s sport
  11. It’s my birthday today, would be a nice present if Bruce left
  12. To be honest, I generally don’t like going back in for previous managers and clearly he’s not going to walk away from Everton as he’s too honourable. However, if there was one manager I would trust to build us into a consistently strong team, challenging for silverware season on season it would be Rafa and I don’t think it would take him more than three years. Gutted we didn’t get the takeover sorted when he was here
  13. Course Moyes says Bruce is doing a brilliant job midweek, he knows he’s getting six points with Bruce in a job
  14. Fuck me, we’re unwatchable defending around our box
  15. Has to be one of the safer places to have a heart attack surely, with medical support on hand so quick. Hopefully the quick response means they’ll be ok
  16. Joelinton’s chest must have had the most touches in the game so far
  17. Fuck’s sake, it’s literally Hayden, Saint-Maximin and Wilson and a bunch of chancers
  18. We’re going to get done here, defensively we’re so badly organised
