Of course it’s a missed opportunity, we were one game from winning the Euros, by definition that’s a missed opportunity. Great tournament, great bunch of lads, have to give Southgate huge credit for getting us to the final and it was so close even though we essentially gave them free rein on the pitch for over 60 minutes. They’re a good side and were always going to dominate sections but the way we set up in the second half without making any changes cost us the game. Then when Chiesa went off Southgate had a chance to go all out for the win in extra time but settled for penalties with his late subs.
