This guy’s one of the few footballers in our squad. Was watching today and there are so few players in our squad who you can trust to actually run with the ball for twenty yards and not lose it

His striking of a ball is abysmal. I find it hard to understand how a premier league footballer can strike the ball so poorly. I’m looking forward to a time when we don’t have his name in the squad but at least he is committed

I think he got the most out of the team today. Defensively we were as solid as could be hoped although this was helped by Leeds being awful in the final third. This felt like 3 points that we would never have got under Bruce

There was no way Saint-maximin could have stayed on his feet from that challenge, how a ref doesn’t give that is beyond me unless they’ve never played football. He was off balance and his foot got swiped away from him, stonewall

I liked what I saw from him today, better pace, some good runs and it was a decent enough shot towards the end of the match. He should be starting from here on out

Didn’t see enough from him, I know he didn’t get many opportunities but I hope we manage to involve him more from here on out as he was a bystander for almost all the match and when he did get a touch it was poor

Stonewall penalty that defies belief it wasn’t given either by the ref or VAR, he was a great and his pas to Willock was perfect. Felt that was our best clear cut chance in the whole match, good to see him making the right decisions

The worst thing to come out of today was his injury, as well as our weaker players picking up knocks as well. Our squad is already lacking in quality without having to replace players. This lad was class and is such a calm presence everywhere apart from in front of goal

He’s an absolute enforcer and it’s only really him and Trippier that give me any hope when I see the team sheet. Wood needs to put in a performance today and if so, he can separate himself from some of the dross as well

Are people suggesting he has an attitude problem? I’m certainly not, but he certainly doesn’t seem desperate to come to the club. People have made fair arguments as to why that is (e.g. we’re absolutely hideous and very close to being nailed-on to get relegated) but if he’s not that keen to sign for us I think it can have a knock-on effect to his performances

How on Earth is that going to help things? Whatever you think of Howe, changing him now guaranteed relegation

Yeah, I think it’s less about the points and more about the mentality if we don’t win. We know already how fragile we are and lacking in quality. We desperately need 3 points even if we only get it via luck (VAR, red card etc) to improve confidence in the squad

My main issue is that Lingard doesn’t seem particularly interested in the move and is happy to sit on the bench for six months. I think he’d help us a lot but I can’t be arsed with players who aren’t completely committed as we’re not staying up that way

That also raises the risk significantly for the selling club as they can’t guarantee a replacement. I think it’s as simple as these clubs being happy to sell players for silly money and they just keep raising the stakes to try and get more and more out of us because we’re rich
