  1. Come on Birmingham and Wood, Mclaren is surely gone

    Alan Pardew

One thing I do like about Pardew is he's just about honest about his assessment of our performances in his post-match interviews. Unlike some managers who spout s*** about how unlucky they were despite their shitness in the game. Honesty is just a fantastic trait in all aspects of life. When managers come off and say they didn't see an incident which would have helped the opposition team it makes me feel sick. How often do you hear managers say it the other way round? They've always got an opinion when it works out poorly for them. Give it if you can take it. Pardew seems like the kind of guy who can charm the officials a bit with his chatter, motivate the players, keep the board onside and give the fans something to cheer about. It's pretty rare that you get someone that can cover all those
  3. Worst game in recent memory. Felt absolutely sick every time they were in our half
  4. Needs to sort himself out. He comes across like a disgusting little Goblin who's had all his treasure stolen. I've not seen many of Liverpool's games so can't judge them on form but, as has been said by many, his transfer choices will do nothing in my opinion to bridge the gap towards 4th spot
  5. Anyone seen his BBC interview? He has a slight scouse twang on a few words. Piss poor effort from him
  6. Perfectly written, sends shivers towards the end. Most fans know those sensations of trying to care about a different team in different circumstances and it having almost no effect
  7. He played in 12 of their 14 league games since he joined. The man makes me feel sick any time he opens his mouth. He's probably the worst thing on television. Someone mentioned in 'pet hates' or another thread that they think he may have a disability of some sort. Certainly I think he's mentally off the mark, this doesn't forgive some of the pain he causes in his analysis

    Football pet hates

That was pretty filthy to look at. Really pissed me off. Should get out the cards for pricks who act like that
  9. extract from his autobiography: Lucas Neill's lucky escape after breaking Jamie Carragher's leg By Jamie Carragher 4/09/2008 When my leg was broken in an horrific tackle by Lucas Neill in September 2000, my mates were ready to hunt him down if I gave the go-ahead. A few weeks later I received a phone call. "You won't believe this, Jay. We're in the Trafford Centre and Lucas Neill is walking straight towards us. What do you reckon?" Did I really want Neill to take a crack? "There's only one problem," added the voice. "Little Davey Thommo is with him." That was that. I could hardly let one of my best mates, David Thompson, now a Blackburn player, become a witness to an assault. Besides he'd have recognised the attackers. The impromptu mission was aborted and I sent a text to Thommo telling him Neill should give him a hug of thanks. As word got back to Blackburn about the near miss, or should that be hit, their coach Terry Darracott, a Scouser, appealed to one of my friends to call the boys off. I agreed. Complete arsehole A real cunt this lad. Ugly in every apsect of his character, hope he disappears when he retires instead of causing needless pain on television

    Shola Ameobi

Shola may not be the best player in the squad but some of the abuse he gets is pathetic, especially from some of our so called "fans". I'd never give him s*** during a match but I think it's fair to say what you want about him on a forum. It's been over seven years that I've been hoping he'd leave the club and he's still here. If you don't voice your opinion what's the point of even coming on here. I agree that sometimes people just lump abuse aimlessly at anything and everything if things are going badly but Shola has been a weak link for years and it's only getting worse

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Big fan of you Tunisia. Your positivity and optimism for the future is to be admired

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Incredible. I don't care how he plays, just so pleased to have him back
  13. Love this kid. Of the new breed; Ferguson, Vuckic, Sammy, I think Mehdi is my favourite. Think he's going to be a quality player
  14. Watched the 5-1 demolition of Sunderland in the Cock and Lion. Unbelievable atmosphere, was amazing. Place was rammed to shit by toon fans chanting and singing all the usual stuff.
  15. Cannot stand that King's speech shit and the happy birthday King Kenny songs. What a disgusting way to behave. They are without a shadow of a doubt my least favourite football club. Can't wait for the shit to hit the fan and watch as Kunty the clown licks it off. What a bellend
  16. I remember seeing this lad in the world cup. despite the fact he was eighteen, he was the best player on the pitch for NZ. Haven't seen much of him recently but I think his game's really suited to the PL. Whether he's good enough I don't know but I'd like to see him do well. Anyone know if he's going back to West Brom later this month?
  17. I think he's a brilliant manager but I think he's lost sight of what he's trying to achieve at Arsenal. They are such a confused side with new young players coming in all the time and then either being sold off or being proved to not be to up to the task. The signings he made this window were poor in my opinion. I don't think Arteta is a long-term solution, I don't think Gervinho will improve them enough, Oxlade is too young, haven't seen enough of Mertesacker. I do however think Jenkinson will prove to be a good player but again, not for another two/three years. When you can buy players who can improve you right now, why buy players that will improve you in the future? I could understand it if the first team was playing well and successful but they're not right now. They look absolutely shot in regards to confidence and young players/new players are going to struggle all the more with that. If he was to leave Arsenal, I think they'd be a little fucked for a while because the team right now just isn't working at all (defence especially) but I definitely think it would be a great move for Arsene. At a different club, he could maybe get back to just developing a good passing game, attacking philosophy and shake off all the shit and confusion that is blatantly apparent at Arse right now
  18. I think it's one of the very few jobs he would take. I think the pool of jobs he would take include only PL teams (any barring Sunderland) and those teams in the championship that are highly likely to be in the promotion spots or playoffs. In regards to whether I think they'd hire him as a manager, I'd say it would likely be a disaster. I backed him when there was a lot of talk about him at Cardiff but he would have had longer to prepare and more time to learn the ropes in the championship. If he was to get a PL job, especially one with a club that is fucking shit, I could see a divebomb effect

    Leon Best

the lad's only twenty four (almost twenty five) but he'll improve in certain elements of his game. He already has a goalscorer's instinct and good technique off both feet. Just needs to stop being offside needlessly. I like how he holds up the ball and I've liked him for a long time. There's a general consensus on here now, not just a bandwagon consensus that he's good enough to start and that Shola shouldn't be allowed on the pitch. Once Pardew accepts this instead of living in denial we'll all be the better for it

Donaldson fucked at Tranmere? Came off after twenty seven minutes

    Twitter

This is brutal in fairness, I don't know what condition he has (epilepsy aside) but he's walking into a shitload of abuse. I hope someone helps him out instead of destroying him, could easily turn nasty
  22. Who are these 8 votes coming from? We've obviously got Ultra and NUFC54 who said he hadn't meant to click it but every person so far has commented that they prefer it this way.
  23. I'm not a long-time member of the board but it's always been this way since I started viewing it in October time last year. Sure it's been like this for a long time too and it's never caused any problems. I absolutely hate loads of new threads which just have bits and pieces in them. It's the way it is for a reason and that's because it's far more efficient.
  24. Fuck, no way Pardew will have the balls to go with Ferguson over Raylor. This is a proper piss take like. We'll have to get obertan off, have Marv and Guti on the wings who can hold up the ball far better because Raylor at left back is going to get plundered again and again. We were so lucky not to concede three down that side against QPR. Against Villa we'll be contending with far better wingers and full backs, man, he has to consider Ferguson at least instead of that embarrassment Raylor
  25. Hope we clobber the shit out of them, a point or three here would be fantastic. I want to see Ba on the scoresheet and have a gut feeling we will as long as Shola fucks off. Santon will play, he has to, and hopefully cause them problems along with Guti being given more opportunities to go forward (looking forward to this partnership, although if Marv is playing, more than happy for Guti to switch to the right). Hopefully with more stability in Santon we'll be able to play more passing football and actually bring out Cabaye's strengths
