  1. Don’t know if you’re aware but he’s a fighter and an incredible man, so cut him some slack
  2. That’s a fair bid to be honest, think there’s a decent enough chance Chelsea will sell but maybe after negotiating a few more millions

Hear they’re in for Harry Potter after he proved he could get results against Voldemort and the Slytherin Quidditch team
  4. Yeah, let’s get Joao done. Wood needs to be lower down the pecking order and we need a lot more quality cutting in from the wings
  5. Thanks Micah, this is the sort of searing analysis Villa fans needed right now - Gerrard’s a fighter and an incredible man https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62685677
  6. He’s a decent footballer, he’s just not in his prime due to injuries. I like him and if we weren’t pushing for top half I’d be happy to see him get more game time but as it stands cameo appearances are just fine

    Joelinton

Complete and utter tripe like, teams don’t know what to do with Joelinton. He completely disrupts their play, he’s priceless
  8. Think Joelinton would kill someone if you told him he couldn’t play in order to keep him from injury

Lewis doesn’t belong in that company I don’t think, at least not until we actually see him have some game time. The rest are to a man championship standard, with Ritchie and Dummett looking like they’d struggle in that league. Murphy might get by while he still has pace
  10. Also, we don’t have a squad do we? Not a squad that means we can routinely take off our best players at 70-80 mins, partly because we’re not in as commanding a place in games and partly because the substitutes are generally a major level below. If we could do that we’d have less niggling injuries
  11. Too close to goal I’d say, he’s an up and over free kick taker whereas Schar is a thunderbastard. It was a thunderbastard situation but he scuffed it
  12. Trippier’s corners delivery today was some of the worst we’ve seen from him but he’s still one of the best dead ball players in the league. Think it was the right call giving the free kick to Schar at the end though

    Joelinton

He was his usual self, very tidy mopping up and scaring the shit out of the opposing team. He got caught quite easily when driving towards their box because they were very well drilled at closing down and cutting out spaces in the middle near their box. I like when he goes on darting runs as his ability to run with the ball and his feet are surprisingly decent, it’ll pay off against poorer sides
  14. ASM can get at Trent, that needs to be exploited. Our midfield is poor right now but so is theirs if Milner is in the side. Salah’s also had an off game. I think we have a chance of getting a point out of this but I want to see Anderson in the starting 11, same with Isak. He may not have adjusted but he’s a clever player with huge talent and will be immeasurably better than Wood
  15. We’re so well coached at moving the ball in triangles, even our poorer players can look decent because of how well coached we are. The issues happen when some of our players try to be creative as realistically Trippier, Bruno and ASM are by some distance our best at getting assists. Willock, Longstaff, Almiron, Murphy, Fraser etc are all very toothless
  16. Pleased he’s back, always enjoy his overlap runs and he has the best distribution from a left-back position we’ve had for a long time
  17. What a little bitch, we got done out of a penalty, got a ton of decisions against us and controlled the game despite having our best player out. We moved the ball around a lot on the ground
  18. He used to be a really decent forward, never amazing but he could bully defenders back in his Leeds days. Playing for Burnley, especially in their style of football has just finished him
  19. Ben Arfa was a much better footballer and understood how to link in with other players better but I really like ASM. He’s shown glimpses of better link-up play this season and he’s obviously always a threat with his dribbling, just less so when he’s up against a team like Wolves who are extremely well drilled at the back
  20. Thought he did a lot of really good work in the middle, tracking back, recovering the ball and setting us moving in the right direction. The issues start when he gets into the final third, especially if the ball isn’t in the right place on his left foot
  21. Just got to hope he was feeling it and being extra cautious as he often looks like he’s injured
  22. Billy should be starting over Willock now, he’s always showing for the ball, he’s hungry as fuck. He’s shown quality in the air and in link-up play and he’s a goal threat. He’s played his way into the team
