  1. If you’ve watched Everton play recently, they definitely can go down. It’s not like they’ve been unlucky, they’ve been tragically bad. I’ve said it already but if English Frank doesn’t get a bounce in their next two games and DCL doesn’t recover and get his form back they’ve got a decent chance of going down. I think all the other teams fighting for relegation have a better mentality and a clearer plan on the way they’re going to play
  2. I think the relegation fear has been a big catalyst alongside the takeover in reenergising my love for the club. The fact that there’s so much riding on every result for us and for a few other teams means that NUFC has gone from something I engaged with at the most basic level (checking results, reading on here) post-Rafa to refreshing this website and following almost everything that’s coming out of the club + watching and listening to other games again. Didn’t think I’d get reeled in again like when I was younger but the relegation fever is definitely helping
  3. Great to see Bigi getting a start and always happy to see Ben Arfa. I hope Saylor has the captain’s armband. I’d also have Rivière starting instead of Smith but that’s just me. The question I want to ask is why is there no Obertan in there?
  4. Sounds like he’s not starting, want to see him on the pitch a lot earlier than 90 mins, especially as the midfield are going to get a bit of a wake up on Sunday after playing some poor teams
  5. I imagine so, I saw some of his line ups a week ago and they were awful so I imagined it was a wine-up
  6. Love your lineups Johnny, any way you could fit Almiron in the side and take out Trippier to make it more balanced? Cheers
  7. Just got to hope it ramps up even more before the end of the season and he attempts to jaw a teammate who doesn’t pass to him when they’re clean through

    Kevin Keegan

Yeah, might be worth hauling Outremont off after only five mins, absolute horrorshow of a debut and I can’t see any way back for him

Also, forget all the incredible achievements and making us all fall in love with football and becoming the most popular club in the country, he’s such a beautiful man with integrity and class

    Kevin Keegan

Make sure to ask him why he’s adored so much round here
  11. You’re absolutely right that he’s got a top attitude, seems extremely supportive of the other players. Has a smile on his face when playing, I really hope he can get a goal soon and get up to five before the end of the season. He’s clearly not part of our long-term plans but he’ll get some love if he can play a genuine role in keeping us up
  12. Such a professional, feel like we’re in such safe hands. Everyone is pulling in the same direction; the board, the manager, the players and the fans. Think that’s why I’m the most confident to we’ll stay up. Howe is great at instilling positivity without being a false cunt about it like some previous managers who’d switch from positivity when things were going well to throwing players under the bus and becoming negative to lower expectations of the club
  13. Nah, it was fucking stupid of him. The idea that you can’t get two yellows in the same passage doesn’t really add up to me, especially when neither yellow was marginal last night
  14. Fair enough, personally I think there’s a place in the side for him for the next few years. He’s an enforcer and comes out with the ball in almost all his 50-50s, his distribution is also excellent. I think he’s got room to develop even more and although there are few signs of him improving in front of goal, he keeps getting a lot of opportunities and if he can get past a mental block I think he can start chipping in with more goals
  15. You want big Joe out of the team? He’s absolutely class
  16. Think unbelievably frustrating is a bit harsh like. I really liked him, he always gave everything, he was versatile and he had good technique. End product let him down and it felt like he didn’t ever reach the level he could have
  17. Savaged, dread to think what kind of life Agbonlahor would have lived if he hadn’t had football

I could see Henderson going back there at the tail end of his career like, strikes me as the kind of guy who’d love to help his club out but it won’t be happening while they’re in league one
  19. I think aiming is fine but I don’t expect us to be ready for top six next season if we stay up
  20. It’s not just the pass, it’s how quickly he spots it, releases it and weights it. I absolutely love Saint-Maximin but his pass was delivered after running over twenty yards and knowing Murphy was there for most of that time. I think Bruno will deliver some passes similar to Coutinho’s once he’s up and running though
  21. He’s such an unbelievably greedy cunt, I’ve enjoyed seeing his return spell fall apart

Feel for them like, imagine if we were languishing in league one and they’d just become the richest club in the world and looked like they were odds on to stay up after seemingly being nailed on for relegation. Anyone who keeps supporting them deserves both respect and pity
  23. Nah, for several reasons. Don’t wish him any harm but I enjoy seeing him lose his head
