In the 15 minutes I watched in total I did think he remained very central and just sort of occupied their CB’s, without moving too much. Which seemed odd. As the highlights, the analysis videos and the few bits I saw of him in the U21 Euros. Didn’t have him as that type at all. So I’m hoping it is more down to what you’re saying in your last paragraph.

I might wait until he has kicked a ball or two in our side. Before judging him based on a dreadful, boring looking Germany team.
-
Always remember him just declaring “break’s on” to suggest a counter was on, every time there was even half a chance of an attack
-
Watched the last 10 minutes and he touched it once. Lovely quick pass inside and the other bloke immediately gave it away Jesus. Germany looked bad in those 10 minutes. No idea how to play out, ponderous on the ball most the time. Then hospital passes when they try and quicken it up.

Jesus. What next. Clips of Coldplay and the Nazis?!

Bollock headed bratwurst guzzler.

I was there for that right at the back of the away end. Quite a few around me, including myself. Had our hands on our heads thinking he’d spooned it over the bar. It just dropped into the net in slow motion Then had a night out in Swansea and got asked to leave Aspers Casino for continually singing the James Perch song.

Yeah. I’ve not watched much of this. But I feel like he is becoming a problem for England. Not exactly spoiled for choice with replacements and his goalscoring record is insane. But he can’t really sprint anymore.

I don’t give a toss where the manager is from. I do care what the football is like, though. Most of it under Tuchel that I have seen has been absolutely turgid.

Nah. Murphy is always dreadful on the left. More chance of him right and Elanga on the left if he were to start. At least I hope that would be the case.

I used to despise the place. Less than an hour's drive from East London. Hour into King's Cross on the train. But I'd rarely ever go with my family as a kid and never enjoyed it when I did. Getting to loads of London away games when I was in my late teens/early 20's is what actually opened my eyes to it a bit more. I've got a little'un now so no chance I'd consider it or be able to afford it. But looking back, I wouldn't have minded living there when a lot of my mates took the jump for work and house shared. Their careers have all taken off. Whereas mine has sort of progressed at a pace similar to Shola in the 89th minute. Sorry to hijack the Joao Pedro thread with the relative merits of London

Most large/capital cities have good and bad areas. I was in town yesterday for work. Just around Moorgate at the office and then Farringdon for some beers. Went to a couple of old London boozers, then a decent sports bar for some of the cricket. Followed by a quality South African Braai place. I think it is hard to generalise about London as it is fucking massive and you can travel 5 minutes and an area, the demographic and general vibe will be totally different.

Nah. No defence here. More of a critique of your predictable posting style. Safety
-
Yeah. You were walking utter wank then and all. FWIW. I’m not watching the game. LFEE safety smiley to make sure I’m not being too much of a smug know it all

LFEE has seen something nobody else has. He’ll be a contrarian and say something a bit edgy and against the grain. Followed by something a bit ambiguous and a for good measure. Rinse and repeat.

Seems like a good appointment and has a decent CV. That's all I have. Can anyone provide a bit more than that. Barely been in this thread, TBH.

Even when Cisse was in his prime for us. Did he ever have a good touch and was he ever rapid? Or do you mean the other Cisse. With the dodgy hair?

I see The Contrarian Deadbeat is at it again. Brought a big net with him this week.
