The more I look at this. The more I think of Mike Ashley and our whole set up: http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/962/640/658.png

Anyone who went and was brave/loyal/stupid enough to stay until the end. Did the players get a load of stick and get 'rejected' at the end of the game? I read a tweet from the chron saying something along those lines. It made it sound like they were booed or that the fans turned to walk out when they came over to clap the fans. Yet the match report didn't really mention it?

The thread title is "Who would you go for?"... Well in that case. I want Guardiola, with Enrique as his assistant. Yep. That'll do. It'll be a very short thread if it's 'who would you go for in an ideal world.' Guardiola, close thread. I was obviously being facetious It seems there is quite a small pool of managers to choose from though. The ones that Ashley would actually appoint and the ones that would actually work for him. I'd argue that the majority of the options on that list are unrealistic. I'm just hoping that the threat of relegation and the big money that he'll lose out on. Means that Ashley's hand is forced and he actually appoints a competent manager. It would be nice for him to panic in a good way and properly back a quality manager in the transfer market. Although TBH. We deserve to go down and there is the outside chance that Ashley would sell. So maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. If the last 2-3 years are anything to go by. Then what is the point of us being in the Premier League? i was agreeing with you on the thread title btw. Oh right. Well in that case. Cheers Quite obvious now I re-read it

If we don't get rid of Schteve Mac and only get 1-2 mediocre players in Jan. Then I'd say we're now at a 10. If we get a decent manager in and he gets backed in January. Then I'd say it's more like a 7. So as it stands:

perfect analogy. As for McClaren. This cunt been sacked yet? Absolutely no point waiting any longer. We'll be cut adrift by the Villa game, then probably lose to them and all. Not saying a new manager is going to get us a win against Liverpool or Spurs. But may as well bring someone in now. With one eye on January and time for them to decide on who they want to keep. Who am I kidding?! We'll sit on our hands whilst the whole club burns to the ground. Whilst proclaiming that everything is fine and we had a good, angry week at training. Fuck off. http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/962/640/658.png

We've been utter shit without him. But we weren't much better with him. Meh.
-
Nah, Casillas got done by the taxman too. Make the right move Neymar. Go and play for the team you just dicked 4-0.
-
It happened at Villa too! 4pm Sunday match! Yep. I was there. I think we started Ranger up top Barton missed an absolute sitter. Which he got a lot of stick for. As he had been saying in the press how bad the current English midfielders were and thsat he should be playing for England
-
Pretty decent article and fairly balanced. Disagree on the transfer bit. He forgot to mention Pardew actively trying to sell our players, every time he had a press conference. "We're vulnerable if one of the big clubs put a bid in for Cabaye. We'd have to consider it." f*** off you crater faced c***.

I feel that way TBH. There were some signs here and there, earlier on in the season. Even when we were losing, you could sometimes take positives. But the last 3-4 games have just been so abject. Fair enough, we should have won against Stoke. But apart from that. We create absolutely fuck all and look like we're going to concede every time the opposition attacks. We created a fair few chances against Stoke and still drew 0-0. Huge run of games going into January. Can't see us getting fuck all from the next three. Then we have what I think should be a couple of winnable games. Problem is. We will probably be 19th, with the pressure mounting by the time we play Villa.
-
Are you American? Genuine question? Barca could have scored about 10 as well. 6 or 7-2 would have been a fair score.

Not seen that much La Liga this year. Really enjoyed the demolition job you did on Real Madrid though! How has Mathieu performed? It always makes me laugh when I see him. He looks like he should have a northern accent and should be turning out for a League One club That is purely based on his appearance. I have no idea if he is any good. Although he has never looked that great to me and I did think it was a strange signing when you got him.
-
Whilst I agree on Colo and Dummett. I'm not sure bringing in the most immobile player we've had since Mark Viduka, to play centre midfield. Would be such a good idea.

Was me. Cheers minhosa Notice they didn't pick up on my beaten by 3 goals or more under pardew stat and pretty much cut me off after it. Can't be talking badly about pardew on a national radio show, hey? Ha. Brilliant. I thought it would be someone off here. It wasn't the usual type to call in (I mean that as a compliment) and you actually managed to get some well researched points in. Most on these shows, usually end up in an argument with the presenter and the callers very rarely have a decent opinion. I despair when I listen to some NUFC fans on there. So I rarely listen any more. There are fans down here that actually think Pardew did a good job and Ashley has spent decent money FFS I did hear the "lost 30 something times." Then you got interrupted by that Saggers prick and Collymore having a shouting match. I thought the stat would be the 3 goals or more one. Which was another thing that made me think it was someone from here. cheers to be honest, i just regurgitated minhosas post, its spot on so i thought it was a good chance to get it said on the radio. ive just listened again, theyve edited the pardew defeats point, unbelievable. cant be speaking badly about alan on radio now, can we? I thought they were quite receptive to what you said. Collymore was actually quite balanced and spoke some sense at times. Oh and I've heard Durham before mention Pardew's bad points. So it's not everyone in the media that w*** themselves into a frenzy over The King.

We don't. I've said as much in the McClaren thread. I'd still rather we stay up though, whether we deserve it or not. It's shit watching us at present. But I think I'd still rather be in the Premier League. I was at Villa when we went down. I could do without that feeling again TBH. It was grim. I could get on board if it meant Ashley getting rid. But I could see us struggling if we went down and not just bouncing back (Partridge) like last time.
-
Always hated that phrase A Fat Fred phrase I believe. Bong eye Ryder uses it all the time.
-
Fucking hell Ronaldo. Someone pissed on your chips this morning. Yes. As pathetic as it is. I have no confidence that this current set of jokers at NUFC, will keep us up. The same way I didn't last season. So yet again, we're relying on other teams to just be shitter than us. As oppose to us actually performing well and earning our place in the league. Or perhaps you haven't been watching for the last 2-3 years? Maybe you got lumped round the head too many times in sparring. Fuck knows. Obviously it's not going to hinge on Crystal Fucking Palace vs sunderland. But if Palace had won 3-0. It would have helped keep them down there and their confidence low. I also like seeing the mackems lose, as we don't exactly bring much to the table, in terms of excitement. But perhaps that's just me. Self respect
-
There's been some really good points in here of late. But the two that stand in my mind. Are about us having a team full of number 10's, with no decent defensive mids and shite at the back. Plus the point about McClaren pointing out that we played badly, but not having any clue how to change it. It's refreshing that he is being honest. But I'd rather he was a bit of a bullshitter, yet had us playing good football. I have no confidence that we'll strengthen properly in the right areas in Jan, or that McClaren will find a system that consistently works, or at least makes us hard to beat in the short term. Based on the last year/18 months. We deserve to go down. We're a shambles of a club. Oh and St1pe. I don't agree on that last point. It's a big if, but if Ashley paid the going rate. We could have a far better manager than McClaren. The only reason we settle for jokers like him, Carver and Pardew. Is because they're desperate to come here and they won't get a job at a better/bigger club.

Useless cunt. Still can't beat the mackems. Fuck off Pardew. Couldn't even do us a favour. Hopefully Semtex is right. Let's hope they drop like a stone and he does end up helping us out, by getting relegated.

Flicked over to Talksport for 5 minutes on the drive home last night. A Geordie by the name of David, made some very good points about McClaren. How we should have got someone in the same mould as Klopp or a figurehead like Vieira. Also mentioned how the rot had set in long before he arrived. Due to Ashley, Pardew and Carver. Made some other points in between Collymore shouting the odds. David Minhosa TBH.
-
Top post Minhosa. Even with proper ownership. I'm not sure we'd attract someone like Klopp. But I'm not sure that's what you were getting at? Depressingly accurate. But at least you got some humour in there to stop us all becoming suicidal!
-
I'd take Brett Favre right now. McClaren is not good enough and worryingly, doesn't look like he has a clue how to stop the rot.
