  1. Yeah. I get why some fans would like him. That’s not to say I would or do like him. The bloke’s radio rental. Can’t help himself.
  2. But we have Tino. Both of them as options should we get Europe would be great, no? Unless we are viewing everything through the pissing FFP lens, again. In which case, maybe we would look to move him on. But there are still loads of first team/fringe players I’d look to sell before him.
  3. Only posts to weirdly stick up for Dubravka/slate Pope or to like any comments slating Howe.
  4. Gordon’s corners were brilliant today. But I do think with the tactics we employed for them, Viccario being rooted to his line and the fact we had 16 (sixteen) corners. Trippier would have caused havoc and all. He is still joint top of the assist charts and he has missed quite a few games, played plenty half fit and had that horrendous run of form. Not too shabby. I always feel like absence makes the heart grow fonder with injured players. But somehow, a few (one poster, maybe) seem to be going the opposite way. Tripps is world class and we’ll be a better team with him back in it.
  5. Van de Ven is getting loads of stick and rightly so. We had to hear how he was the best centre back since Maldini. All because he’s a specimen, strong and fast as fuck. Suits their system, sure and looks a great player. But settle down will ya. He’s forever making last ditch tackles. But living down south and speaking to a load of neutrals and Spurs supporting mates. Surely Romero deserves more blame? VdV actually stopped more goals after some of his howlers. But Romero was all over the place. Always desperate to get tight, has to be the main man getting stuck in and is attracted to the ball like a moth to a flame. I’d be royally fucked off as a Spurs fan. Giving it the big numbers at the end. Where was that fight during the game? I can’t have him at all. I get why you’d like him as a fan. As he is a good footballer and aggressive as fuck. But he’s a complete clown show of a defender a lot of the time.
  6. He is becoming more of a leader and more aggressive of late. Always chirping at the ref, the opposition, not afraid to get stuck in or get involved with all the handbags and minor skirmishes. Love to see it.
  7. So similar to the City game at home. Isak cutting in and scoring. Followed by Gordon a minute later. Both at that end and all.
  8. This times a million.

    Nick Pope

Supposedly going to be on the bench for the Palace or Sheff Utd game.
  10. I love his attitude. Proper chippy fucker and goes ploughing into challenges. We have missed that since Joelinton went down and with Bruno not being able to make a proper tackle for 11 games. He did the Joelinton role today but in reverse. More central on the ball, dropped to left back off the ball. Bis versatility could be huge for us going forward.
  11. Some stat. Could keep him on corners now and then even when Trippier is back. They were quality today. Helped by Viccario being rooted to his line. He is absolutely relentless. What a buy.
  12. I thought him and Bruno looked a bit off it the first half hour. Oh how wrong I was The bloke is just morphing into Thierry Henry. How many braces does he have for us now since he signed? Feels like at least 6-7 times. Hat trick can’t be far away.
  13. Not necessarily the best footballing performance on the ball. But all things considered, that is our best performance of the season. Tactics were spot on. Everyone played their part and we limited a high powered attack to basically just Timo Werner doing his usual a few times and shanking it.
  14. Can’t help but love McCoist. Not a lot of insight. But he just loves the game. So enthusiastic about everything. He really is. It really does etc.
  15. Perfect game plan so far. Sit deep, play on the break. They have had two good chances. But I feel like we should have them dead and buried and 2-0 has me nervous. They’ll be all guns blazing now and we’ll understandably start to tire. With no options on the bench.
  16. Yeah, just seen this. No idea how it all works, not got the concentration or interest to find out. ADHD brain and I always hated maths but the thread below makes for some interesting reading, if accurate:
  17. We are keeping Spurs guessing right up until the last minute. No way they have prepped for a front 3 of Burn, Longstaff and Bruno. We’ll shit ‘em.
  18. I was going to just leave it until KO with all the guessing about formations and who is playing where. But I enjoyed all the speculation too much
  19. I think Barnes will be on the left. So Howe might want the insurance of Burn behind him. Not exactly a great choice. But I think I’d rather Krafth against Johnson than Burn and leave BDB in a position where he has been playing so well.
  20. I think we would be far better off with Burn at CB than LB. His last two games have arguably been his best of the season. So I hope he stays there.
  21. Howe said he’s not trained all week and a doubt for today.
  22. He also made a couple of outstanding stops due to how quick he was off his line. Filled in really well as their number 2. Especially when you consider he’s coming in in place of possibly the best keeper in world football. The drop off hasn’t been too bad. Compare and contrast with what we’ve had.
  23. Week and a half break after this and all. Maybe we can get 2-3 players back for Palace.
  24. Had a few Liverpool fans talk about booking Dublin. That was a good while ago and all. Whoops. You wonder if this could fuck the league for them and all. Arsenal suddenly looked a bit vulnerable against Bayern. City conceding 3 against Madrid. But nothing as damaging as this. They’ve been dismantled and could/should be more than 3 down.
  25. You almost have to admire Gomez. Never scored a senior goal in his career. But will that stop him trying a few outrageous shots from miles out every game? Will it fuck.
