  1. Interesting to see what Aarons can do. Surprised like considering Perez' performance in the last game.

    Why no playoffs?

2-9 play off for two CL places, FA cup winner gets the other. 10-13 play off for two EL spots. 16th and 17th play off with the Championship play off losers for extra relegation places. Stick some bacon and cheese on top and we're golden.

Man City since Man Utd only have 101 points

  7. A little flame of hope has ignited in my heart so we'll probably get beat. There's no other club like ours for stamping out belief and optimism. 2-0 Watford with a red card for us. Or 3-1 to us. Mitro, Wijnaldum and Janmaat with the goals.
  8. On the bright side you probably wouldn't have to see it that often.

    Why no playoffs?

Probably, but they're used to using their heads from age 6, so if you took their helmets away now you'd just have a killing field. Not for long. Natural selection and all that. NFL needs change at the grass roots level to take hold before they can do anything substantial and that's probably not going to happen. Players seem way more aware of the risks now, and there's a lot less head to head contact outside of line play, so it's getting better, but there will always be substantial risk. It will get to the point where people that normally chose football will choose baseball or soccer as B-More said. The talent pool for the other US sports is going to receive some tremendous athletes. NFL needs to change a lot of things at the grassroots level. Due to the concussion awareness, less kids are playing the game. Football (soccer) is the highest participated sport in the USA now and the numbers will only increase. A lot of this has to do with the health risks of playing American Football versus Association Football. I can foresee in a generation, the NFL's overall quality of play being far less due to a smaller grassroots player pool (maybe more foreign players entering the draft too). We're gonna win the f***ing World Cup. Hahaha need to make the most of the vast player pool and resources first before that happens! I'm just saying this. We're gonna leave this century with like...six World Cups. You're laughing but that could happen if you get in gear. We need to start beefing up our curling league or some shit you lot won't be interested in for another 100 years or so.

    Your life must be awesome.
  11. Fantasy stuff, colback will play, and its too offensive. I want this 442 Sissoko Shelvey Gini Perez Mitro Berahino 433 Shelvey Sissoko Gini Berahino Perez Mitro Both would be horrific without a more defensive minded midfielder in there. I kind of stated that in my post. But it would be fun to try in a match Saivet and one of Colo and Mbemba stay back, everyone else up front. U9s style.
  12. You'd think they'd sort it out before he went over there.

  14. Fucking hell, someone's been on the buckfast early.
  15. Siem de Jong out for six months after rare allergic reaction to plate armour.
  16. Might be quite fitting as well. http://www.bigcharlieandros.com/images/detail-andros-map-700px.gif Penis shaped island? Think you want to get yourself to the clinic.
  17. Colback is s**** but plays every game. Cases in point. Gini, Sissoko, Janmaat, Perez Mitro et al seem to do OK because they're firstly good players and secondly they were given a chance to actually play. Thauvin and Cabella might never have made it but the idea that Andros Townsend - who has scored 3 league goals unless I'm very much mistaken at age 24 - is the answer is beyond ludicrous. We have an old school English manager, as we did with Pardew, who is trying to blame the horrendous first half of this season on a lack of a core of English players it would seem. Well were that true go and sign Shawcross for £25m then, I might think there was some substance to it then because it would show a commitment to the idea not just convenient signings who have fallen out with their clubs. hmm, i agree to an extent, but convenient signings who have fallen out with their clubs are all we can attract while we sit in the bottom three. shawcross would be absolutely barmy to swap stoke for us atm. Of course he would aye, but that's for him to decide. Put the money on the table for someone at the top of their game with no attitude problems or history of disruption. Of course they won't do that. The inglish thing is both partially true and a myth imo; when you sign shit foreigners it doesn't mean you need an inglish core to succeed, it means you need a quality core. Bang on the money. It's the quality that counts, not the nationality or 'premier league experieeeeeennnnnnceeee marra'. Sissoko, Perez, Wijnaldum, Mbemba, not a jot of English blood or premier league experience between the lot of them. Colback, Dummett, Williamson and Fistpumps on the other hand.... On the other side you have that experienced premier league star Gabby Obertan who has been lighting up this league since time immemorial and Jonjo Shelvey who is actually good. It's not Shelveys experience or nationality that makes him the better player, it's his quality. Buy quality English and on the whole you'll do well. Buy quality forrins and on the whole you'll do well. Buy shit of either and you'll be shit.
  18. I don't really see how we need him other than off the bench? And why would we over-pay for someone to sit on our bench? I mean I'm all for depth, but Townsend at £14m is absolutely ridiculous. Rather give Thauvin a chance and put that money into improving at LB and getting someone like Berahino. We aren't going to sign a new left back though. And personally I think it would help Dummett if Townsend were to be playing down that side ahead of him. Our squad lacks a pacey, direct, out and out winger. Aarons and arguably Thauvin could become that player, but they are sure as hell not ready to be counted on from what we've seen and read so far. Who do we have vying for the Left Wing spot at the moment? Perez (a central player), Gini (Better in the centre), Thauvin and Aarons. None of those options are good enough for me, and I'm talking about having a proper impact this season, not for the long term future. For the money they're talking about i'm sure we could get someone better than Townsend tofill that role.
  19. I'm sure having to move to China is resulting in ridiculous demands. Yeah, what kind of stupid fucker would do that.
  20. Aye seen him play on the wing a lot, probably explains the interest. Considering the players we have I'd much rather buy a pacy forward who can operate in wide areas than a winger personally. I'd disagree there tbh. We already have a load of forwards but we don't have a single proper winger worthy of the name. I'm thinking someone with pace to burn who can whip in a good cross or beat his man and get to the byline.
  21. Can't believe nobody has mentioned the great Daniel Cordone
  22. Hope he gets a dent in his car that's too small to fix but big enough to see.
  23. Yes, Stifler, he's walking to China.
