Dunno, with the new TV deal they should be at least breaking even. It's their stupid use of the loan system that's really screwed them and having so many players contracts up at the same time. If they can steady the ship for a season or two and start banking a little profit then he might start investing a bit again. Can't blame the bloke for seeing it as a bit of a mismanaged money hole at the moment.

If Arsenal wouldn't give him the wages he wants do you think we will? What's stopping him sitting on his contract at QPR, playing in the prem and banking his £80k a week?
  4. Press will be wanking over them all next season too.
  5. What can I say, you've been full of good common sense posts this month http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/Smileys/Newcastle-Online/Bob.jpg

  7. Fuck me, we need some proper football around this place again.
  8. Just think, if Kinnear hadn't stopped that deal then when Colo and the glass idiot got injured we might have stumbled on the perfect partnership in Douglas and MYM. They could have gone on to power us to champions league and premiership glory for years to come. Oh well, still got Willo and the bestest set penis in the world.
  9. He's an idiot for coming back overweight. He's been badly mishandled but there's no good reason for coming back from holiday overweight. If he had an ounce of sense about him he'd have done what Marveaux did and come back in top condition and they wouldn't have had anything to throw at him.
  10. Why, it didn't work last time he did it. The guy just lies and lies and repeats the same stuff and nothing happens, teflon coated cunt. It'd save on foreplay.

  12. Agree. You never know who will make the step up and who won't. Centre backs who aren't that physical really tend to struggle with the Premier League - he was always a very risky signing and it's turned out to be a very poor call from Carr. And it's quite common to move players out wide from the centre when they're new to the league - it lets them adjust to the pace of the game but any mistakes are less likely to be costly, and it's better than not being in the team at all. Robson gave Taylor his debut at right back and he played Bassedas and Viana out wide as well. He's had 18 months and he's been a flop. Time to move on. Taylor, Bassedas amd Viana, eh? Works a treat, that does then.

  14. Did the commentator just say 'if Newcastle get the first goal they normally step up a gear'?
  15. I like this new 'move a bit off the ball' thing we're trying. Could be onto a winner.
