Won’t happen but I think Alli would have been a better target than Lingard. We’ve decent wingers in ASM, Fraser, Miggy, Murphy. We don’t have anyone capable of playing the no10 role well. It could have given us more options. Ended up with neither.

Alli and VDB is really good business by Everton in my opinion. They’ll be significantly stronger when we play them.

This was my initial reaction as well. We’ve got less than half of the season to go now and need everyone absolutely on board.
