  1. Well done Brucey, these interviews will have tipped the few holdouts. The hatred of this steaming pile of shite in Newcastle is now unanimous. What a horror show of a human being.
  2. Emmanuel Dennis isn't the Nigerian striker I'd want in this window . Also, Carlos is too old now to command such a fee. We've been linked to loads others who are younger - Botman, Badashile, N'Dicka amongst others - and most are around that 35 million price tag too.
  3. Everton being stupid with money - who would've thought? And yet the stories the other day about "the PL wanting to closely scrutinise Newcastle's spending this summer".
  4. A (now deleted) Tweet on the Twitter Nonsense thread mentioned Ricardo Horta from Braga. I'd like the idea of us going after Horta and Jack Harrison - underrated players who've flown under the radar despite very decent stats. They won't cost the earth and can be Eddie Howe'd into becoming stars. Braga is slightly older at 27 though.
  5. Paqueta plays in the right half-space mainly. So there's room for him there in place of Almiron/Murphy/Fraser. Would do well in a 4-2-3-1 on the right of the 3 as well.
  6. Wor Bruno seems to have a proper man crush on Matty. So nice to see such likeable characters in our club.
  7. Just read that he posted a message on Raphinha’s Instagram saying “You’re welcome. Congratulations bro!” He’s so good at the charm offensive, this guy.
  8. I suppose we’re hungry for English players if that’s true. I’m sure we could get, say….Alessio Cragno for a fraction of that price. Or Strakosha on a free.
  9. If the quoted price of £40 million is accurate, it’s either a ripoff, or we’re really going to go hog wild on the spending. If we paid that for a keeper, imagine how much we’d pay for a statement forward?
  10. Above the Great English Messiahs of Stevie G, Frankie Lampard, and above highly-regarded Paddy Vieira. Perfect.
  11. Shove it down your fat gob, you cunt. Eddie Howe surpassed it, in half a season.
  12. If this lot get a last-minute equaliser against us, and Leeds fail to win against a 9-man Brentford, the utter, utter scenes man. (Although it might be worth it for Raphina and Phillips for cut-price).
  13. Whatever the outcome, it's been a brilliant season. So many twists and turns, not least our remarkable uptick in form.
  14. I wouldn't want Tarkowski here, even on a free.
  15. That was the joke Yeah I'd take Awoniyi. He only joined Union last year though.
  16. Osimhen is geet quick though, very much like a Nigerian Mbappe. Awoniyi is beefier, more awkward with the ball at his feet, reminds me of a Nigerian....Yakubu. We wouldn't get Osimhen this season, I think, he's red-hot property like Nunez. I wouldn't turn down Awoniyi.
  17. My one issue with giving Everton money for players is that it would involve giving Everton money.
  18. If Everton is looking to sell, I'd take either one of DCL or Richarlison. I believe a happy Richarlison playing in the company of his Brazilian compatriots will bank goals far better than snide, divey Everton Richarlison. Everton might be more amenable to letting him go over DCL as well.
  19. Yep. I remember Brummie gave a tidy review at the time.
  20. "We'll buy you an up-and-coming Premier League Club to have fun with in your downtime."
  21. Sounds like he's going to tell Targett that we want to sign him, but we'd be looking at rotating him with another potential left-back, and whether he'd be comfortable with that. Either way, we'd at least start next season with someone of his calibre, which I'm all for.
  22. The thing about Wilson's shithousery is that it is a lot more subtle than what Gordon and Richarlison get up to on a weekly basis - never to the extent that it becomes part of his "brand". It's a great skill, that, knowing when to rein it in, and it's part of what makes him a top-class player. Shearer was ace at it himself.
  23. Yep it's this report from the "butfootballclub" website - which interestingly states our scouts were watching FOUR players - Paqueta, Ludovic Blas (which we were linked with in January), Moses Simon, and Tete. https://www.butfootballclub.fr/ol/mercato/fc-nantes-ol-info-but-newcastle-persiste-a-lyon-et-s-invite-aussi-a-nantes--773912 This is the gist of it in English: https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/05/20/newcastle-scout-four-players-in-one-game-including-67m-world-star/
  24. I'd love Scamacca here and I reckon he would be someone Howe would take on as a challenge to mold and make a true superstar - raw, yet with bags of potential; energetic; grafts hard from the front; plus a bit of radge. In saying that, I've realised that we've built up a really "likeable" squad here, and that's part of why we've enjoyed this season as much as we have. Apart from ASM (who is just a bit whingey), we don't have the really cynical jerks, of that ilk that make people dislike teams like Everton's. Our lads are wholesome, happy winners.
  25. Problem for Everton is that their top players will be itching to leave, and they’d probably have to sell in order to buy. If DCL and Richarlison jump ship, their replacements have pretty big boots to fill.
