Cannot believe how I could enjoy a cool, professional, workmanlike demolition so much, man.

Watching this match today has made me seethe so much more that we were managed by this cunt for so long. We've got good players, they just needed some Premier League conditioning for fitness, coaching that brought out their best attributes, pre-match prep and a game plan where everyone knew their role. Fucking hell I am flabbergasted how he's been stealing a living all these years, man. So glad he's fucked off. -

When will the penny drop with the WBA fans? Why are they even backing this creature? Is it some sort of Stockholm Syndrome because they had no say in his appointment? Like "he may be an out-of-touch, workshy, impotent, Bacon Harkonnen on an infinite loop of losing streaks, but he's OUR out-of-touch, workshy, impotent, Bacon Harkonnen on an infinite loop of losing streaks." To paraphrase what someone once said of Shola - that fat mess shouldn't be allowed to watch football, much less coach it. -
It’s almost certain that every player we’d be looking at would be hardworking, ball-playing, defend-from-the-front stylee. That includes the forwards. Being young will be a bonus. Your Lukakus, Aubas, even Kanes would probably not be high up that list. They’d be on the lookout for a younger Wilson, or a Rondon-type with a better goal return. Your Ekitikes, and even Isak (who is extremely hardworking and hasn’t been in good goalscoring form lately), would suit these criteria. We actually got lucky with Wilson, despite his injury record. He grafts hard for the team and knows where the back of the net is. Surprisingly difficult to find a striker like this. (Cue the inevitable Weghorst joke).

I didn't realise that "complete midfielder" Declan Rice provided the assist for our goal!

Everything shaping up for a hero's return to the mackems after he and Neil both get the sack in another 10 games time, then. -
Yeah it was Fornals. Don't know what it was all about, but he seemed really pissed off about something. Maybe it wasn't just Wood saying "meow" to Zouma, but everyone else too
-
Love that little swingaround overlap by Fraser. Some flair that I've not seen in the past few years. Takes a lot of confidence too.
-
Do we have 18 games left to play? I've lost count and thought we had 16 left.

Geet quick, finishes like Adama Traore. Good to see that we're scouting all the top teenagers all across Europe, looks like if we stop up, we'll be going full Borussia Dortmund next season. Hungry, exciting bairns with a couple of experienced old heads to control the pace and provide some calm. Good times!

Yeah, apart from the Unai Emery blip, the recruitment strategy for executive and coaching staff seems to be focused on progressive and "home-grown". It's clever too, a low-hanging fruit for easy acceptance by fans in the short-term, and if they pull it off, a core staff of successful British managerial and management talent to showcase in the long-term. Takes some of the attention away from the owners. That Mourinho link is so far removed from what we have evidently been looking for that it is almost laughable. It's the managerial equivalent of signing a stroppy Ibrahimovic. He was progressive 15 years ago, not any longer. And he is the opposite of someone who we need to lift the playing staff and the fans.

In addition to all that bollocks, his sense of entitlement is off the charts if the quotes are to be believed. "He won't stay here and take four goals off Verona." Get to fuck, man, it's literally your job to not have your team ship goals.

Would this see a red card in this day and age?

Reading this thread from the end of last season/beginning of this (around pages 163 and 164) versus now has been proper canny. What a turnaround in the forum's opinion of him as a player. Fuckin Bacon King and his "management" - "We bought him as a 9, let's only play him as that despite a return of a goal every 11 games and ignore his other attributes".
-
Burn is fuckin mahoosive like.
-
Let him bone up on his English whilst he gets these little runs in the side - the better he can communicate effectively with everyone else around him, the better he can be the midfield general we've all been crying out for. You could see against Everton how he was geeing up the crowd at the end. He has Trippier-level leadership energy.
-
"Striker" But the video makes wor Joe look like Declan Rice. Amazing against Everton, imho.
-
Was it vs Spurs earlier this season when I think we had another medical situation in the stands? I remember fuming on here that all the Spurs players took advantage of that to immediately gather around Nuno for instructions, whilst ours were actively walking past Brucie, who was stood there gormless as fuck, with his hands in his pockets. Amazing that now we are actually doing "tactical injuries" as a means to regroup and relay instructions, man.
-
I know of some players who are made of biscuits, but reading the comments these past two pages, this is the first time I’ve seen someone made of Marmite Let Eddie sort it out, the loss of Trippier hurts not solely because Krafth will come in. It’s the loss of his experience, leadership and all-round confidence that would be felt the most. I cannot imagine who else would contribute that on the pitch for us.
-
Eh? When you buy a player, he’s yours, so it doesn’t matter who you play him against. We bought Burn. If you loan a player from his parent club, he won’t be allowed to contribute to his loan club getting points off his parent club. We loaned Targett from Villa, hence we can’t field him against Villa.

Bruno just making cameos and collecting opposition shirts

You’re a good un. ?

Well, Dean Henderson trending on Twitter for rumours of a Green, and Woody nature. Thankfully we weren't in for him if these rumours are true.
-
All the top clubs have world-class goalies and I think it’d be a priority come the summer. The kind comfortable on the ball and can distribute effectively. Trouble is I can’t think of any good ones available in the summer. Onana has gone and Atletico probably won’t let Oblak go. We won’t progress with Dean Henderson, iyam.

We'd have to neutralise the Coutinho-Ramsey partnership so I hope they would at least have to do similar with a Bruno-ASM threat. Playing high will get us in trouble, what with our central defenders and Shelvey being quite slow. That Ramsey is geet quick.
