  1. I was out with my everton supporting mate today, he offered to watch it with me but decided not to heap any misery on him and reckon i jinx us normally anyway so didn't and now i cant watch us again
  2. Presumably he should do the decent thing and refuse to play for Bournemouth until January?
  3. It would be one thing if our results weren't reflecting our performances, but actually we are just very poor right now. If we can restore some of the intensity and get the goals coming we could have a good surge but it's a long way off right now
  4. He looked a lot better for england, but i suspect part of that is the lower intensity of international football. He has huge talent but he is so frustrating, poor decision making, losing the ball too easily, he really needs to look at Murphy who has leveraged significantly less 'natural talent' to significantly more end product. I'm normally a little critical of this line of reasoning that leads to fun flair players being frozen out but there is a little ego to failing to do the basic repetitive work of a winger to go for flashy runs beating everyone, he needs to focus on just beat the full back and either whip in a ball, shoot, or pass the ball. Trying to keep going and run into whole team, or turning inside and running into a crowd on the half way line is unnecessary at least till confidence is back
  5. Absolutely shocking. The away form issue is getting worse.
  6. Dreadful all round today no-one really comes out with any credit
  7. Really poor performance and getting what we deserve
  8. Little harsh i feel was decent effort. We're just not playing with the needed intensity, just letting them play too much
  9. I was just reminiscing about that weird Stoke team that had Bojan, Affellay, Shakiri etc...i feel that would be impossible now with psr those players reserved for big six only. Even if Stoke were still pretty rubbish doubt stoke fans prefer things now
  10. Yeah some weird negativity has seeped in, I had my turn last season after the west ham loss and feeling that staverley forced out after terrible window wondered if he may want out and the club may have different plans and may be good for everyone. I was completely wrong. Now quite frankly I would stick with eddie if we got relegated. Yeah not everything is perfect, he could rotate the squad better you feel, things aren That chap arguing that we shouldnt have a manager with so much authority and better to have a more 'modern' set up. I get that in an ideal world but there will always be behind the scenes politics etc. With our new DoF in place now and apparently friends with Eddie hopefully things wills be more professional. The behind the scenes stuff to me really illustrates how much Staverley did, remember reading it was Eales forced her out i guess cos she was doing his job a lot of the time, that did a lot of harm...

Where are they at in the champions league group stage anyway? Oh wait...

I probably phrased that badly, it's ultimately no need to panic really, just mean I'm sure eddie and the club all feel this is not where we want to be. The slow starts do need to be addressed.

They're good, the form will drop but they're well on their way to an outstanding season. Good for them. We'll likely find form and go on an impressive run as we tend to and climb the table but it is shocking where we are at. They probably have had some luck but it's not like they've been garbage. Meh, honestly I pretty much devote all my football hate energy at Liverpool these days
  14. Mourinhou definitely is always nice about us, but I don't get anyone wanting him here, he's long since lost his aura, he plays pretty negatively, don't think he can fire up players like he used to and is more interested in bigging up himself over the club he's at. He is not interested in building for the future. I would be very disappointed, but he's good at talking himself up with club owner types so wouldn't be totally surprised.
  15. we seem to start slow every season under howe. Absolutely not going to turn on howe though, i floated getting rid of him after west ham last season and regretted it profoundly. We will improve, but I am not convinced another european tilt is that achievable I think we need a bit of a rebuild. Gordon will get back to his best tho. Not convinced by other wingers yet, like Elanga think he will get better but we need our midfield to be better.
  16. Wasnt it reported that Nuno couldnt be in the same room as Edu and would just shout at him? In fairness if one of my employees was behaving like that i'd struggle to overlook that lack of professionalism. Having said that my employees are not paid anywhere near that much
  17. I dont actually think his forest team has been anywhere near as bad as his spurs side were when he basically seemed to set them up to never bother even trying to defend, this is a harsh scoreline, and yet they also look a bit like us under McClaren when we looked like maybe there was something there and yet we just lost. He came into a losing situation all round though. Not sure anyone would have done much better.
  18. I really like the implication that they could rotate in another manager at any time
  19. Yeah but cant say i know enough about Forest to know if they have alternatives right now?
