I think winning the league will take a long while, it will be a long while before i am pissed that we arent winning it. Next big step will be being reliably in champions league places, and we're not there yet. Winning some cups on way will be fine for me. If we keep getting to finals and not winning will be issue i guess but not going to complain for a while.

Don't accept the premise to be honest. I'd be delighted to win the cups a lot and understand the league is a while away but very good teams tend to win cups and leagues not often over the course of years only one or other.

I dont think he was terrible last season either, the signs of improvement, but he wasn't getting as many minutes, our right back situation was a bit unsettled behind him etc etc. It is just good coaching though isnt it. Some players react straight away or hit their ceilings quickly, some just take time and maturity to start hitting their best consistently. He's definitely been focused down, he always ran hard, always got in good positions, but his decision making, his shots and his crosses were all questionable. He seems to have a lot better vision with his crossing, and he's definitely shooting more accurately as well. He's still not the greatest finisher, the more time he has to think about a shot the worse his finish is likely to be, but his goal exemplified excellent work to be in the right place, and an excellent finish too.

If Salah leaves I can absolutely see Liverpool willing to spend a huge amount on Isak. I suspect they'd try and tap him up a bit and tell him to run down his contract till he's a bit cheaper mind.

Boxing forever desperately needs to get its shit together and have the best fighters fight each other semi regularly, but instead they all dodge each other and the promoters hype up shit like that. To be clear it will absolutely never get it's act together, and little bit of me is slightly glad of it because the circus is some of the fun, but would be nice to have more better fights, but it is a cruel undignified sport and maybe you cant dress it up.
