  1. been a great run, bournemouth really good, not going to moan too much players bound to run out of a bit of steam at some point, shame at home and shame for isak
  2. Love began his journey to atlanta as if he's frodo taking the ring to mordor or something and he isnt going to reach atlanta for a year
  3. Fair enough. I do wonder if all the public discussions of internal disagreements at old trafford is really hurting them. I'm not sure if it's the amount of press involvement and plenty ahve good sources, or if the hierarchy leak a lot to embarrass each other, or if they do it cos they think will help the team somehow, or if it;s all the squad doing it whenever they're pissed at a contract offer or lack thereof. I have to say if my agent is whispering in my ear that maybe man u would give you a £200k contract, you raise it and then all of a sudden its leaked you're greedy and you're up for sale it could go the other way. Equally I question if it's really the homegrown value thing that will drive the sale but they dont want to admit that so leak he asked for a load.
  4. I do wonder if publically putting Mainoo up for sale (even if its not at an actually realistic fee) was great for the lads morale...
  5. Honestly the defining characteristic of post-ferguson Man United is they generally look pretty poor and yet somehow string decent enough set of results to finish near the top 4 and sometimes win a cup even though by all rights and tests on the eye they have no right to. They briefly flirted this season with not just looking bad but actually being really bad, so good for Amorim I guess for restoring them to the winning despite it making no sense levels.
  6. Yeah McAtee for that price feels a bit of a no-brainer, but if that price tag is true the player still has to want it.
  7. Saw him play in friendly before, looked very threatening but very very raw and that cameo didn't contradict. Think a long way off, and I'd think about loan moves except we always loan to dreadful clubs.
  8. I'd be foolish to disagree, most likely he will, it's just Haaland feels a bit of an outlier of a player so I am not sure all comparisons will work, however he certainly can finish so will remain a great poacher likely. I'd more be worried about injuries.
  9. Back in the posh school i used to go to every morning the tutor made us read out this latin poem thing about someone called Maximus who was never late, always polite, always hard working, never rushed etc etc about some mythically brilliant roman dude to somehow instill values in us (thankfully only had him one year). Some in here are reminding me of that hah. I think he's not got the ego clouding judgement that half managers seem to have where they start blaming everyone, he stayed calmed and fixed it. I also suspect he listens to his staff and works collaboratively better than half the my way or the high way crowd.
  10. I mean it could be great for city. He could of course also lose form and fitness and be stuck on their wage bill for years and years. Guess they can afford it but this feels more statement to fans that the project isn't going anywhere than actual practical football decision

Media does like to sell a club to Arsenal. Rice was definitely going to Arsenal for years before it happened. I am sure it's cos Arsenal have enquired a lot and are keen but equally, Liverpool very possibly need to replace Salah's goals in the summer, I'm a bit more scared they can afford a ridiculous fee too.

Unfortunately that same injury record also limits how much we will get for him. Feel for the lad as his ceiling is high but getting there is difficult. I always feel he needs a run of games every time he comes back before he gets to his best and he's just unlikely to get the minutes without Gordon or Joelinton being injured.
  14. Had one wonderful sparkling run where he scored beautiful goals for fun, away from that incredible work ethic on the pitch, fantastic attitude, hope he tears it up back in the MLS.
  15. It feels pointless getting annoyed at decisions that gave us some of the most enjoyable seasons in years when regardless of if we could have managed it a bit better the real issue is the legacy of a decade of mismanagement by Ashley not growing the commercial side of the club at all leaving a mountain to climb for the new owners to please psr. Our commercial revenue was absolutely appalling for a club of our size.
  16. He's been the next big thing for quite some time, felt obvious when chelsea signed him wasnt going to get the minutes but they did what they do. May be perfect place to restart career
  17. Is it? I don't imagine anyone will get that squad of players challenging for anything without a fair few transfer windows in between, 2 years sounds right to get the club from relegation fight to safe mid table club. We were a bit of a a freak in that regard.
  18. Don't agree he seems a systems manager whom needs time with players you don't get at international level. Or Indeed with West ham whom will sack him and replace him with moyes in a few weeks. That said, don't feel i really know if he's actually any good or not...
  19. I would find one on Dan Burn funny mind (not a diss of Burn)
  20. It's a wonderful riposte to the current vogue of managers playing certain ways and refusing to make any change even mid game as if there's valour in dropping points, we score a lot of goals, good to the eye but not going to make anything easy for the other team. He has made me look a fool for pondering if he'd taken us as far as he could, appoint him for life
  21. What's pleasing me is that even in the 4th place season our away performances felt significantly less intense than at home. We seem to have got on top of that at last
  22. At the time I thought they'd done what fulham had done a few seasons earlier and there was no way changing so many players would result in a cohesive team that would stay up even if the talent was there. They did struggle but cooper got them over the line. I thought way to stay up was keep core of team that got promoted and try and bring in a quality spine to the team. However considering how well it has gone for forest, and how all the teams coming up have kept their squads together and really struggled i am questioning my own reasoning on this, maybe complete overhaul is the way.
  23. Yeah no don't disagree i am just managing my expectations down as it looks like will get a deal if we can find one but not sticking our neck too far our. Hope we can grab someone, I even look forward to maybe some young prospects perhaps, but I am not sure a 'star' signing feels on the cards. Could be wrong.
