The City by the Sea? Like they think they're the only one?
-
iirc he had a few decent streaks but he never recovered from rafa realising that we played better without him with 3 at the back and schar quarterbacking from cb. Weird i remember that but cant remember who was partnering Hayden in the middle then...god our squad then was rubbish

I don't rate nagelsmann much, another i have a weird obsession with a bad style of play and will not fix it nonce
-
I briefly wondered if we'll try a 3-5-2 to accommodate 2 up top but doubt it. I don't think Wissa playing wide would depend on his defensive work, which I've heard was fine when he did play wide but doubt howe would want to bench Gordon for that

Multi club ownership should have never been remotely tolerated

I suppose you have to do some to keep unpredictable

Have we proved that all white people look the same

Still think we have to get out of the mentality of starters and second choices, we're clearly trying to rotate more than before, we have a lot of games, players are going to start for rotation. Considering his effectiveness last season i agree Murphy maybe still makes my first choice (however against teams where the pace on counter will be extra effective I would lean to Elanga) in some sense but we should also just be rotating them to protect their fitness.

100% Trippier Bruno and Burn in that first window. Trippier brought the mentality needed to grind out that first half season and carried it through that second. Set standard of effort Burn - Maybe for vibes as much as anything. Think everyone sees a bit of themselves running around on the pitch through him Bruno - Absolute heart of the team. Needs a statue.

Sunderland will unfortunately win, the've built well and seem a solid unit. Good for them. Still think we should just ignore them, feel a bit of a shrug about them now.

Deserved to lose, we are not at the levels required to compete at the top end and it's been shown. There are reasons and we will improve but sigh. Can't see us doing better than mid table this season if we can't keep hold of the ball at home.

Of course

Games bent.

The problem is he was such a calm finisher he never really had competition here, Ekitike and Salah and others at Liverpool are good finishers, he's behind Ekitike in the pecking order as Ekitke has been scoring for fun while he was getting back fitness. I am sure he will score plenty of goals for liverpool but think he'll struggle to be be not the main man relied upon but an option. Hope he sulks and fucks it all up.

Intensity wasn't high enough second half but ultimately they were better. We needed that early goal from the early pressure. Oh well onwards.

just all the luck

Like a new signing

its not much of a gamble is it though, one thing about the premier league is theres lots of bloody money. It would be very annoying if he's a flop but if hes rubbish we can probably sell him and lose £30m on him at worst case, and crazy as it is probably something we can absorb. The bigger gambles are big wages and long contracts for aging players whose values are going to plummet, or when you give players huge wages that very few clubs could ever come close to, which we don't (hence losing Isak I guess)

Wonder how much money you could bet on Harry Maguire moving to Everton next summer.

They are so lucky, given a total free ride by media for basically buying the league and acting like twats doing it. Genuinely can't believe how much i hate Liverpool these days I'm normally fairly chill
