  1. Hopefully Tiote, Shola, Jonas and Taylor will all be spending this one on the bench.
  2. Anita has shown in the last two games that he deserves to continue getting his chance as a consistent starter, hes got so much more to his game than Tiote and benefits us so much more in almost every area.
  3. The only person more disappointed than Newcastle fans after this summer is probably Yohan Cabaye.
  4. This guy being fit for the majority of the season is probably going to be worth 9-12 points on its own. Him and Hatem are two most important players.
  5. Even under better management i'm still not convinced of that tbh. Barring some major injuries we should be comfortably top half imo. We only need one of Ben Arfa, Cisse or Colo injured and we're f***ed tbh, because we have nobody anywhere near as good as them to come in and do a job. http://news.images.itv.com/image/file/152914/article_7bd59f3531a03801_1359050386_9j-4aaqsk.jpeg http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/08/11/article-2389276-1B3C1982000005DC-5_634x420.jpg
  6. Have noticed him winning a lot more midfield battles in the last two games than I saw him win in any of his games last season, hasn't put a foot wrong in two games and it would be ludicrous if the likes of Tiote walk back into the side, its important that Pardew puts his trust in Anita and allows him to continue to get to grips with the league, he's very impressive so far, I bet hes relieved aswell.
  7. Expecting a late 2 million bid for Ince or something of the like... then the usual spiel afterwards "squad is strong enough already" "couldnt get the deals over the line" "Joe tried his best" "transfer congestion" blah blah blah
  8. Obviously hasn't been here long enough to be "Pardew'd" yet.. give it him he'll be as bad as Shola soon....
  9. Superb. Such a shame we cant clone him to play higher up the pitch too.
  10. 1-0 Sissoko. Another dreadful performance with the 3 points papering over the cracks, for now...
  11. Hope this petulant little twat doesn't take Anita's place tomorrow, should be playing ahead of Tiote still though.
  12. Looks very shaky at times but I get the distinct impression its a case of waiting for him to come good, he shows often that hes a very tidy player and its just all about getting that consistency in a new league, on first glances though I would have to say he needs be a little less complacent with certain over ambitions passes and dribbles at the back and also seems very weak in the air for a big lad.
  13. Another case of Vuckic not taking the rare chances he is given, will amount to absolutely nothing.
  14. Thought he looked awful in the first 20-30 minutes if I'm honest, really came into his own as the game went on but would get ripped apart in the premier league, encouraging though I suppose.
  15. Times in our season where we finished fifth that those two were immense. You can't take that away from any of them. 11/12 they had some great games together no denying that but then Tiote turned into Alan Smith and cabaye had his "depression" Saturday is probably the first time I've seen a decent central midfield performance since 11/12.
  16. I felt that Moussa and Vurnon looked a much better match than Tiote and Cabaye overall.
  17. I used to think he was pretty good but now I'm not sochaux. http://i3.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/276/747/bf9.gif
  18. Did anyone notice how poor MYM looked in the air on Saturday? Had a good game but I don't think I seen him win a single aerial duel, I think this is always going to be a weakness of the MYM/Colo partnership, the lack of aerial presence.
  19. Sitting in the gallowgate for this one, been aaaaages since I've sat there and looking forward to it. Bought a kids ticket though, I'll pay for a full price one when I see a full price worthy performance.
  20. Don't like the way Pardew has seemingly just laughed off the Taylor incident, seen some quotes earlier where he said he thought it was silly and that he said sorry to the lads as if it was just a bit of a laugh or something, probably me just reading too much into it but I think he should have been given a level 10 bollocking not just patted on the back and told it was silly. No wonder our players seem to like Pardew so much they probably just get away with anything they want.
  21. Unreal how people are so quick to jump to this conclusion. I actually think you are Alan Pardew. You're such a gaylord you must be him.
