50 million plus player sales is not unreasonable tbh and I think Rafa would be happy with that side of things, when you really delve into it we have the potential to fetch (up to:) 15m Shelvey 20m Gayle 15m Hayden 8-10m Murphy 6m Muto? 2m Joselu Getting a bit lucky with fees that could leave us with up to 120 million to spend on players, the problem though, is that it's almost definitely complete bollocks and we know they will go back on their word as soon as they see the £££ signs. Unfortunately it'll be the investment elsewhere that will stop this contract being signed, no way will Benitez bang on about improving facilities, even more so than transfer funds and then accept no investment, there's just absolutely no way, a compromise has to be met, but even if it that will probably be lies aswell, either way we're fucked.

Neutral fan at work (Palace fan) saying he thinks Schar is one of the best CB's hes seen in the league this season and we'll do very well to hold onto him, reckons he is already worth 5x what we paid for him. Nice to hear the opinions of neutrals without the rose tinted specs on.

Much better option than Yedlin, but we still need a major upgrade. -
That thread has been deleted, what were they saying?

The crazy madcap world of league one

Think it will end 5-5.
-
5-4 win incoming for the scum.

Inevitable, would even put money on them winning 4-3 tbh. That league is trash, they will definitely get the second spot, but either way they are a million miles away from prem level or even mid table championship level.
-
They will come back and draw this 3-3, they always do.
-
Switch him to RWB he would do a better job than Yedlin.
-
Pardew won't come back like, my money would be on Hughes.

Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)

Can clearly see the lad has quality and I'd say hes had a decent start but I don't think its unfair to say that the goals/assists need to come otherwise people will start to wonder, especially with his price tag. As has been said I would like to see him more advanced, hes being fairly easily marked at the moment. -
Think the club will "agree" to his demands, he will sign a contract and then the club will go back on their word as soon as it's time to actually start buying players or drafting training ground plans.

Both radge cunts too. -
Good point, would have took that beforehand. Biggest thing to take away from the last two though are that we seem to have got rid of this losing attitude when we go behind, it was really beginning to be a problem and to get through it the way we have in the last two games has been excellent to see. Unlucky with the penalty shout and maybe unlucky not to take away all 3, but you cant fault the effort from the lads today, credit to all involved.

I'm convinced that if there was a poll put out at least 60% of them would sign Johnson back.

The only reason Longstaff got games is because we had nobody fit, it wasn't some master stroke that Rafa saw him and plucked him out of the development squad, he doesn't always get everything right all of the time. The wingback position is pretty critical to the way he wants us to play though.
-
Hopefully he will make a speedy recovery and that will be that, we've got some decent options still in the middle even though I don't really care much for Shelvey, but we know Diame and Ki are more than capable especially with Almiron coming into the fold and taking the pressure off. Hopefully he'll be back raring to go for pre-season and even stronger for the start of next season.

He was nothing short of fantastic tuesday night, I've gone from wanting to pay for his train fare to a new club to seriously hoping he decides to stay, him and Longstaff together just works as the sitting two, while the wingbacks and front three do the rest.

It's a shame in a way though because Fernandez was an absolute rock for us and is more than good enough to be starting too.
