Aye, he's fucking clueless that Rafa. High line against West Ham was a stroke of genius like.

Excellent run and assist, doesn't cancel out his 1 and a half seasons of nothing performances like, but it bodes well.
-
Don't think hes very good personally.

Maybe Kenedy on a permanent contract is a different player to a one-year loan signing? Especially with a young family... It's all hypothetical, of course, but you can't simply say "exactly where we are now". Same two players only with 40 million difference in price, I doubt they would both turn into world beaters because we paid actual coin for them, I get what you're saying though, maybe one or both would feel a greater duty to the club on a permanent deal.

Personally think Atsu is slightly better and offers more, but both are turboshite. -
Continued to play a ridiculously high line after we were exposed time and time again, big mistake that ultimately cost us but I still think we'd have lost anyway, we weren't what I would call awful but we wouldn't have scored if we had played for another 5 hours, bad day at the office, and West Hams best players made the difference.

Looks a bit like Shane off the walking dead.

Could really see our game plan tonight and I think it worked brilliantly, we were in control for most of the game when you look back without the nerves, we hardly looked troubled at the back and IMO we deserved the 3 points, its the quality of the attacking players that stopped us from winning that 3 or 4-1. Credit where its due 3 wins on the bounce and we are turning our season around, long may it continue, can't help but think what we could do if we invested in a 2 or 3 higher quality players though. triggs has just made a cracking point that I noticed too, rather than booting it forward and having it come back at us we are trying to pass our way out and while at times is nervy, has helped us come under far less pressure, the introduction of Ki and having CB's playing who are more comfortable on the ball than Lascelles has paid dividends. We haven't missed Shelvey one bit. Rafa deserves huge credit.

7 goals in a team that's second bottom of the league, imagine if they hit some form, golden boot material.

Its really petty, but I really really hope he had a shit birthday.

I get the anger towards him, which is slightly over the top mind. But I get it, for the comments and how he has seemingly changed his refreshing and honest outlook on things, BUT its nothing Rafa hasn't said himself. Rafa has came out and said we all need to stick together and that he didn't want to see boycotts because we needed everyone in good spirits and backing the team etc....pulling in same direction. So maybe his words are relayed from Rafa rather than Fat Mike. (I agree with the boycotts and planned action btw) Edit: https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rafa-benitez-gives-view-talk-15338615 isn't this just the same?

He could take us down with no more wins for the rest of the season and certain sections of fans wouldn't have him to take a share of the blame, and I honestly believe that. Edit: Before people start crying, I'm delighted with how he seems to be turning around our fortunes, despite my criticisms I think he is the right man for the job and have never even considered wanting him to leave, just for him to do better with what he has which hopefully this is the start of.

It obviously does matter how other teams are doing. Winning 2 games out of 12(and losing in the cup to a championship team) is not a ridiculously good job no matter what the team was or what is happening in the background. He did a brilliant job last season and I’m confident by the end of the season we’ll be very comfortable again but he has not done a brilliant job so far this season. Exactly this, it seems like hes doing a cracking job in turning around our fortunes at the moment but everything good doesn't automatically negate how clueless we looked for the first 10 games, abysmal performances not just unlucky ones, he could and should have done better, I just don't get how people can be so blinkered that they can give him all the praise in the world for winning 2 games in a row but not acknowledge he had a very poor start to the season with no wins in 11 including the cup. It's ok to point to lack of investment which is of course valid, but surely the last two games if anything has shown the type of football we are capable of WITH the players we HAVE.

Clark must be gutted, so much quality ahead of him at the minute it would seem.

Got it spot on yesterday, I thoroughly enjoyed watching us for the first in a while, him and the players deserve a lot of credit, I have been critical of the man this season and rightly so IMO, but it looks like there's a good chance hes going to turn this around, and I absolutely hope he does, and shoves my words back down my gob.

Ayozé Pérez (now playing for Villarreal)

Could argue that the booing spurred him on to play well when he came on, not that I agree with it of course.
