Yeah I think it was the first half when he got bundled over, I thought the one hitting his arm wasn't a pen tbh as he arms were tucked into his body iirc. Would have been harsh getting one for that imo but the other was a definite pen.

It's absolute suicide if not done in the correct way though. Player fitness is key. Will be interesting to see how fit we look towards the end of the season as we put so much of a shift in every game. The World Cup break will help massively for us especially I would imagine.

I think Dyche meant how expressive we are under Howe. Under Bruce and Rafa there was very little attacking mindset. Limited in players all pushing forward and pushing the opposition back. We liked to counter attack under both of those mangers with obviously mixed results. Under Howe its push high and express flair and attacking mentality even late on in the game. Still like to counter attack but how Dyche was saying its like kids in a sweet shop was quite a good explanation imo, that's why we're seeing the performances from Miggy etc, they just love how things are at the minute and a free to play how they want while at the same time sticking to a very organised game plan. It's so unbelievably good to watch and must be incredible to play considering how they were told to play under previous managers.

There's absolutely no way Emery could have done what Howe has with our squad. Emery seems to be very "I'm the boss and you do what I say" whereas Howe is more of a team mate while still holding authority. Definitely dodged a bullet and his past experience in the League with Arsenal wasn't great at all.

First time I've watched villa this season. With 5 minutes I've noticed when villa centre backs have the ball there's absolutely no midfielders coming to receive the pass or make a forward run. I guess this is the first of many many issues

Time to get him out of the team unfortunately. Would have been good to see him have a new lease of life under Howe but he's just not up to the standard. Fraser or Anderson deserve a good run in the team now, Murphy just hasn't taken the opportunity. Still a decent option off the bench against a tired full back.

Murphy been horrific so far. Chases the ball well but has offered nothing as a threat. That Bruno lofted chip pass to Tripps around 35 mins. Wow. That build up play to Bruno effort was just incredible. Beautiful stuff.

Looking back at how we were run and the managers we had it's absolutely staggering that we didn't sink to League 1 and stay there.

Going to places like OT, Anfield and at home against Man City with this team and playing like we have, it's scary how effective he will be with a full squad of real quality players.

Happened on International duty didn't it? Not much we can blame Howe for unless they're making them train too soon but I have to doubt that knowing how meticulous Howe is. Just bad bad luck unfortunately.

He's such a hypocrite. If Liverpool had our owners and someone said the comments towards him his response would be similar to his comments about Hamann. Does he even have a plan B?
