From the footage, the ref appeared to have made his decision... he points for a goal kick. Then Fernandes and casemeiro surround him, make their mouths go, and he pulls out 2nd yellow and red. He's been pressured into carding Ramsey.

The ref did appear to give a goal kick, until Man U players approach and surround him.

Watching the clubs extended highlights again this morning, cracking with the radio Newcastle commentary over it. What I did notice this time though... the little rat Fernandes in the refs ear about the Ramsey incident, and wouldn't ignore the influence he maybe had on the decision. As they said on MOTD, he (Ramsey) maybe gets a slight touch off the keeper but ultimately just loses balance... he's not even looking for a decision/pen.

Think so, 2 yellows is just one match I think.

Unreal finish to the game... Ramsdale's saves, then Osula's pretty much solo effort. Thought the ref was trying to do us again when 5mins added drifted into 8th or 9th minute again. But, massive credit to the lads, digging in and not just sitting back to protect a point, with 10 men.

I still don't understand how VAR can't step in for red cards, or 2nd yellows, like. If they can step in when he misses handballs or fouls for pens, in what is deemed a 'clear and obvious' error, then surely something like that for Ramsey should be able to be looked at, and ask the ref to look again. These are match changing decisions, and with cards, repercussions to future games.

I'm so annoyed at how that half finished, starting with that red for Ramsey. Massively harsh. But then to basically play till they equalise!

Its seems to have been the rotation with Wissa (when he came back from the injury) that affected Wolte's form. Yes he wasn't scoring every game up to then, but his last really good performance was the Chelsea 2-2 where he scored two, and could/should have had three), but shortly after that game, he started getting rotated with Wissa... the two of them barely played together, and I think that affected his game, and gradually his confidence dipped, and now we are where we are.

Aye but, has he screamed at a forward going round him near the touchline?

Is he crapper than the other crap keepers we already have at the club thar?
