Haha, Barcelona? If he's gonna make something up, at least pick a team who could actually register him, regardless of whether they could afford him.

Yep, concur with above comments. Thought the reason we were letting him go this window was that we were getting a fee for him. If its for nothing, we may as well keep him till the summer, when he can go for free anyway.

Saw a post (just a fan account) suggesting once Dubravka was confirmed as gone, we'd press on and sign Trafford on initial loan, with obligation to a permanent £25m transfer in the summer. Would that work for PSR, if we could shift his payment till just after the upcoming accounting period, so he falls into next season's accounts?

Gone, or still just 'going'... maybe? Khaled Al-Shenaif: Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka officially signs for Al-Shabab Club.

Henry Winter already did that last week on Talksport.... asking if our reported £150m valuation was realistic.

A more balanced view, from that non-make up wearing Man Utd lass....

Ref and VAR audio for the Duran Duran red card has been released.

In fairness, as soon as I saw the matchball I said there'd be problems. You just don't have a clue how its gonna react or fly, or where its gonna go when you hit it.

No post match interview from Arteta?

What a performance, what a result. Bit of luck, but you need that on cup games. Great to bring a 2-0 lead back up here, and a potentially good run of games coming up ahead of the 2nd leg. Onwards and upwards!!!!!

Ooof, close.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but just saw this Tweet from Gavin Peacock about an NUFC fan who has passed away... Didn't know the guy, but do remember seeing him around the ground or the training ground in the 80's and 90's when I went to matches regularly. We used to nickname him 'Newcastle John' as he was always wearing something club related. RIP.
