Been thinking something similar last few weeks, the way this window has gone. Now I'm not suggesting Eddie should go, the job he's done has been brilliant. But, could PIF look at the situation (if they are even bothered) and wonder if a bigger 'name' manger/head coach was in place, we'd be more of a draw for players? Regardless of what appears to be a bit of a circus off the pitch currently, if we go in for a player and they are playing for Eddie Howe who may be relatively unknown to them, or a 'name' head coach (e.g a Guardiola, Slot for example) then PIF may start to think they may be more inclined to join. Again, not suggesting we get rid of Howe, and a lot will depend on the hopefully impending CEO and SD appointments and how things move forward, but wouldn't rule out PIF thinking a wholesale change of things may be needed after those appointments, so everyone can/is working together.

It's like what they said on TS earlier in the week about this, saying you've got very well paid players, have their heads turned by the offer of even higher wages, and seem desperate to be away. But they wont put a transfer request in, and lose fees and bonuses for doing so. It's all greed and they want it all ways, and wont sacrifice any of it to get what they seemingly want (the move and the higher wages).

For what its worth, Easy Ryder saying club will make a decision today on Isak re-joining the main group in training, and being part of the weekends friendlies.

I reckon he'll stay, as we've not offered a pay rise, but the club will tax his car for him for 12 months.

There was a bit of talk yesterday morning on Talksport about PIF and their pursuit of Nunez, and how they are funding other clubs whilst not being able to put money (like we hope they would) into us. (from 4:35 if the link doesn't start there)

Till he's actually gone, there's always a way back. And as long as he gives his full effort if/when selected he should be backed. Only if he is visibly dialling it in, would he likely be booed, but hopefully Eddie wouldn't have him on the pitch if he thought he'd do that.
