"All that seems to have happened is a price has been agreed, that’s a long way from a bid being accepted."
-
Thought NUFC had 'politely declined to comment' yet now Downie says the club have yet to see proof of funds..... how would he knar???
-
After the Staveley thing, did Ashley not say any new prospective buyers/bidders would have to show proof of funds before getting access to the 'data room', etc?
-
Trying not to get too excited yet, but....

It’s tremendous. I only watched the first few episodes... need to catch up and finish it before season 2 comes on. Amazing that they filmed last season thinking they'd go straight back to the Premier League.... and then filmed this season thinking they'd go straight back up to the Champo. I wonder if they'll do a third series??!!!

On radio newcastle, Nick Barnes is saying that apparently 'The Don' doesnt want to sell... he wants investment, but to retain full control??!! Either way, great time to add some uncertainty into an already nervous situation for them (going into Play off ties).

Heard some of them calling Totalsport last couple of nights, and the delusion about the upcoming play-offs is off the scale. One of them compared their struggle to get promoted from the 3rd division to us two years ago, saying we also struggled to get promoted from the Championship.... despite us having secured promotion before winning the title on the last day (cheers again Jack Grealish). Then a few have said that in the 3 matches against Portsmouth already this season, Sunderland have been by far the better team in each match, and should have beaten Pompey on each occasion.... despite drawing 1 and losing 2 of them (albeit one on penalties). They really are convincing themselves that they will beat Portsmouth, and getting to 'Wembo' again will be a formality. I really hope Portsmouth embarrass them in both legs.

They go on about how Durham is on the banks of the wear and is "theirs". Then, without batting an eyelid, also claim Gateshead as "theirs" despite it being on the banks of the tyne. South shields too. It seem you should only support Newcastle if you actually live in Newcastle City itself according to them lot. But to support sun'lun you can be from anywhere. They're fucking mentally ill. Case in point, this thread... loads of them discussing how they live in/around/on outskirts of Newcastle, yet still support 'the lads'. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/northumberland-tyneside-based-safc-fans.959881/

Im sure he was watching down today...

https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-set-up-internal-due-16016623 "Newcastle United will make any interested parties undergo their own version of internal due diligence before they allow them access to the club’s books or to present proposals for a takeover." But, but, I thought Mike said it was no longer for sale??!!

Looks like the fat lad has missed out on the cake shops... and this bit further down... Administrators getting wise to his cut price/vulture tactics now?

Fat lad loves cake! Anyone would think he'd suddenly come into a load of cash.
