Doesn't want to piss his new bosses off

Hear that Mr Howe? That is the sound of inevitably
-
Wtf Pope? It's a football not a ball of antimatter.
-
Guess you missed how vlachadimos fee goes up every time he's mentioned?
-
Well that's on the manager for not recognising that the 'back up' isn't up to the role. That is where Osula should be coming in..unless he genuinely was just a signing for signings sake. Even as a project player he's not going to be up to playing if he never gets any meaningful time and 15m is a lot to spend on a seat warmer in the dugout. Almost as stupid as the 70m (last i heard) spent on Vlachidmiousosos

Finally a view that isn't coloured by the sentimentality of good results a full season and a half ago. The realists know Eddie isn't going to be here in 5 years time unless he starts getting results. At the present whatever he was doing before isn't working now, and he isn't showing signs of adapting. He got a pass last season for the previous years results and having to deal with injuries, but he doesn't have last years results to excuse this years now and the injuries aren't washing anymore

My God is it 1996 already? Let's go wild and do 1 1 4 5 like the 20s
-
Well a quarter of it does. The rest suffers the consequences of being too divided and opinionated

People voted for the Nazis and like Coldplay...you can't trust people Jezz

Probably because its not "shite" and is cold fact. Last season was a pale shadow of an imitation of the season before, but was excused because of injuries. The injuries aren't as extensive this year but the performances are getting worse not better despite "lessons being learned". From what I and many others can see, we might have learned from the lessons but look like trying to make the results worse. Yes we might only be 3 points from Europe, but so are half the league. We're dropping points left right and centre in matches we really shouldn't be

"Howe's going to have to pull this around pretty quickly and the club looks like it's hit the wall in the last 12 months both on and off the park. All momentum that was there has gone, the intensity has gone, the threat we offer is often minimal and our play looks stale and predictable. He needs to find answers quickly or he'll be sacked whether we agree with it or not." We keep saying this, but we're nigh on 18 months of poor and disjointed performances without a sustained good period. Could be time to admit EH has gone as far as he can with us

I did say Guehi would score the only goal in this game
-
Yes they're petrified, and rightly should be if Saudi did seriously push it...the slightest hint of pissing off a major trade partner would have a Parliment discussion before you could say "money", and we'd have free reign to do a Chelsea/CityPSG
-
Ability wise you're probably not underestimating yourself at all....being 'in' with the PFM crowd and those stupid enough to listen to them probably not so much
-
City haven't done anything miraculous. They spent their way to the top the same way Chelsea did for a while, the same way PSG did. When they got there, then they built to ensure they stayed there. It may or may not bite them, but whatever punishment (if any) they get will only hold them back for a few years while they chew through whatever league they could be demoted to. I'd wager now that with the strength of their academy they could play their current u16 team and comfortably get to the upper regions of the championship
-
And City have only been able to do this in the first place by being able to spend far more than they could have ever generated without their first takeover under Sinawatra [yes i know spelling is wrong). If these rules had been in place earlier they'd still be a yoyo club hoping for a season in the PL and living off parachute paymemts
-
And it's done us the square root of sod all good while rivals are getting further ahead by bending, dodging and blatantly ignoring rules that were sticking to. Skint? Sell a hotel you own to yourself...overspend...say covid made you do it, get blatantly caught with your pants down balls deep in a skanky hooker, hire lawyers and delay punishment for eternity. Following the rules in a world where no one else does gets you nowhere no matter what level you're at. Show me a billionaire that hasn't shat on someone along the way...hell I earn a decent wage and live fairly comfortably without busting my balls with 70 hour weeks and look across the road to people I get on with fine who've never worked a day in their life and pull in double by knowing and gaming the system

City have built everything on things that arent allowed now, but they're only a guilty verdict on their every charge will possibly shift them. Liverpool and Man U have cemented their places due to varying success over 30 years meaning that it would take a generation of massive underachieving for them to drop out, Chelsea built themselves on Romans wealth and are now maintaining it somehow by exploiting every loophole and trick going, Spurs got their through (grudgingly admitting) Levys business ability. Arsenal have tried to do things properly and shown that an off season is still possible, but can hang around on the back of big success 20 years ago. It's a good debate that if we'd maintained the 94-97 performances that we would be one of the cartel now. Who would have thought when City where dossing around in what's now League One they'd be one of if not the most successful teams ever
-
Defeat written all over this one...we'll play ok, miss great chances and lose to their one and only attack...probably scored by Guehi given our karma state
-
He wouldn't even have to shout at players just give that stare....you know the one that makes him look like the guy from 'the hills have eyes'. As in he'd chop your arm off and eat it in front of you...

Must be difficult or at least uncomfortable to support Newcastle then

Any player challenging Isak will cost a lot

Callum Wilson: offered 'incentive-based' contract extension (Ornstein)
gjohnson replied to Strawberry's topic in Football
We've done this for as long as I remember....and it continues to bite us in terms of having an ageing/injured squad with little value. From a pure numbers perspective Bruno would be the most beneficial to sell if anyone of our obvious 3 has to go...he's probably as good as he is going to get coming up to 28. A new contract for him will only raise his wage while he's with us while his value falls. -
I've got no problem with rules as long as they're applied to everyone...not just the non-rich 6. Man U getting covid relief 8 times more than anyone else...Chelsea selling their own stuff to themselves etc...even we must have done some creative accounting to get that Anderson/Greek keeper deal done...who last I heard cost 95m đŸ˜‰

They're on one about the airport again...yawn
