Makes sense. As i understand KLD only has access to the interest of trust fund until mommy dearest clocks it. The Lads make him out to be massively rich but it's well known its his mother who actually has the real money. I could well be wrong but that was what I understood from reports.
  2. Exactly, all round he's right up there. He's not going to sprint past someone like Dyer, he's not going to dribble past everyone like Ben arfa, he's not going to destroy like Batty. He does bits of all
  3. Well whatever...he has cemented his place in our history. Along with the whole squad and coaching team. He will be remembered as a legend regardless and deservedly so. Might not be one of the best ever players, but on the day he was captain. Yes we've had faster midfielders, yes we've had more skilled, we've had tougher, we've even had better leaders. Bruno has the blend and the trophy
  4. Taken a while but it s finally sunk in. Wow. Watched that Burn goal a hundred ti.es and the commentary is right up with Shearer vs Everton and boom boom Cheick cheick the room. I genuinely want it as my message alert
  5. Looking at Liverpool yesterday, player for player i don't think we're very far away from them. Salah and van dijk obviously off it yesterday, but we didn't have Gordon or Botman.
  6. Sod him. He had his chance to come and didn't exactly push for it. We can find cheaper and better abroad without too much effort

Think it's time to separate RTG from real people. Yes there isn't a Sunderland fan jumping for joy we won a trophy. We wouldn't if they did. We're not that different really. They just have the misfortune to have a comedy football forum where being mentally unbalanced is a requirement
  9. He was very pragmatic and dignified...hope he stays that way and doesn't Klopp out in a few years
  10. We used it to perfection today. Long enough for them to disrupt, but not enough to have them whinging about it

    Jacob Murphy

He's turned into a genuine player. Certainly no weak link anymore
  12. Who?...Tino had the freedom of the pitch
  13. Get back behind the electric fence you greased up t-rex

    England

Southgate was no different to his predecessors...he picked name players from teams doing well or with reputation.... Tuchels call up of Burn suggests one of three things to me...1 He sees something in Burn which goes with how he wants to play. 2 he wants a big bugger as backup if under the cosh 3 he hasn't watched Burn at all and has gone off a stats database I'm no Burn fan but he's one of us so will back him regardless but he's probably the last from our squad I'd have ever called up.... So genius or idiocracy? If he plays we might find out

Has Dan Burn seriously been called up to England? Maybe Tuchel has some vision beyond London and North West...now that does impress me

I know it sounds glib, but it really is a pretty grim place....really nothing more than a massive field. On a full moon you can hear the werewolves howling. What is really being lost by plonking a new stadium on there? An acre or two of boredom for old biddies to let their dogs crap on? All for open spaces, but if it's just effectively a field what's the point? Go 5 miles north or west then you've got 80 odd miles of empty space

So what if that miserable park is lost...maybe a few hundred dog walkers a day compared to a development which would generate thousands....should bulldoze the whole thing and build a 150k mega complex
  19. The only reason for building 'expandable' is if you think you can't meet the goals. 65-70k could be done tomorrow on existing demand. Should really be looking at 85-90
  20. Agree....apparently Man U have barely got enough to buy a bowl of soup....so unless their on field stuff improves rapidly, it'll probably take a blind, insane thick skinned billionaire for them to build it. Wait, they already got that....and it seems he's tighter than Mike Ashley's belt after a night on the curry and pints. All posturing at the minute and will likely be years before any actual progress
  21. The Mecca (save the bingo comments) of England...sponsored by PIF. All Saudi Nationals required to visit annually with a govt supplied financial tribute
  22. Nip down to Shields and mock up a few sandcastles....would be great if we could have something that looks externally if not structurally like the actual Castle
  23. Plans....going to crawl into a dark corner with some Scotch and wait for the inevitable Liverpool walk over or VAR assisted scam, wait for the inevitable Slot wankfest to finish and resurface on Monday either with the joy of a trophy, or another year of hoping for silverwere
