I want to see this team start looking like the sum of its parts, we have enough quality players to compete with the likes of West Ham.

Except only one of those has ever been anything like a real goal scorer (Defoe, and he's on the way out). Lens is decent for a winger but isn't going to get double figures, neither is Borini. Meanwhile M'Vila has 3 goals in 194 games I didn't say they were anything special, they're clearly not. But from what little I've seen of them they appear decent going forward.

I reckon they'll score more than us this year. Lens, Borini, M'vila and Defoe is alright tbh. Terrible defence though.

Wijnaldum and Mbemba have been genuinely quality additions who have improved us considerably. Thauvin also impressing. As far as top 8 is concerned, we are still nowhere near imo. I just don't see us scoring enough goals compared to the likes of Everton, Swansea and West Ham.

They had a new stadium buzz and played some decent football under Reid. Once they'd been relegated a couple times the latch ons disappeared.

So unlucky Mitro.

I think we'll probably finish 10th or 11th this season. The quality of the squad has improved a fair bit but if we're honest, this 50m is only going to get us to an acceptable standard (excluding defence) rather than really pushing on and challenging the top 8, such was the overall decline. But still, there's a lot more to be pleased about than not, so there's a welcome change.

Its Mitrovic who has to displace Cisse, not the other way around imo. Cisse will score loads if given decent service.

I'm not too worried about our attacking capabilities providing we keep hold of Cisse. Him, Mitrovic and Perez with Cabella, De Jong, Aarons and Wijnaldum supporting is not bad imo. Certainly capable of challenging top 10. Defensively we are pinning an awful lot on Mbemba to stop the rot if he's our only incoming in that position. We truly are horrific at the back.

Good start to the morning as far as Lee's concerned. The number of bites he's got on twitter from Mackems is ridiculous.

He's highly rated, young, and has the physical attributes to succeed here. There's always a risk, but with interest from the likes of Porto he must have something about him.
