Aye, but there is no evidence right now to suggest we're turning a corner any time soon.

Playing reasonably well for one half (but not winning) at home to the 14th best team in the division will not keep you up. Sorry, but it's hard for me to be too positive when we're not winning very winnable games and struggling to score. However, I do think we will stay up due to the rubbishness of at least 3 other teams,

If we're still in the bottom 3 at the end of next month, Ashley will have to take action if we are to survive. Either a change in management or a few January panic buys. Have to say I wish I could be as optimistic as the "we'll be OK" fans. I've not seen any evidence to suggest we won't be fighting relegation all season. Few teams have looked as bad as us.

At home to a bottom half team, this has to go down as a must win in my opinion. -
People who constantly go on about how the PL isn't the best in the world are definitely more tedious than the people who say it is.
-
And how anything Ibrahimovic says or does goes viral on social media.
-
Agreed, I would also give Woy and his staff another two years up to the world cup, I think he's the best man for the job and it also pisses on Pardew's and Big Sam's bonfire's. There is no better English manager right now, that's for sure.
-
I don't give a monkey's who manages them, I can't stand Liverpool FC. It's nowt personal Jurgen, but I hope you're crap.

Holland on the verge of failure. Unbelievable really.

Tottenham had a brown shirt for a season under Martin Jol IIRC

Doesn't the France manager hate him? Or was that the last manager. The last time he was called up he fell out with his manager (as per). France are desperate to avoid the usual infighting that messed them up in 2010 and 2012, so I'd guess it would take more than a good few weeks for him to get called up again

I'm surprised at how many seem so quick to write off arguably our most important player of the last few years, especially when you see some of the excuses people come out with to defend lesser players.
-
Would definitely take a half arsed Cisse over Riviere. In his entire career he's had one good run of form.
-
A'disinterested' Cisse has already done as much this season as Riviere did all last year.
-
He is like. He's been turd for the past few games though. But you can't deny that he is one of our best players. No way would we be worse off if he left.
-
Awful today. How people can think he's one of, if not our most important player is beyond me.

Where's our first win coming from? Forget Chelsea and City, so Norwich? They look much better than us. The likes of Leicester and Palace have been allowed to overtake us, no easy games any more. -
Vurnon Anita (now playing for RKC Waalwijk)
ilikenewcastle replied to ponsaelius's topic in Football
Keep telling yourself that because nobody actually thinks that, because most consider him our best DM which isn't hard don't mean we think he's the best thing ever. A large number think he's miles better than Colback and then there's stuff like "Anita's been criticised by quite a few, most of them without any vision" -

Still have no idea what he's supposed to contribute. I think he's an Emperor's New Clothes player for many on this forum. -
I think Hodgson is the best active English manager (which is outrageous frankly). Pardew would be the least talented/decorated manager since we started giving the job to actual football managers. His excuses and his cowardly ways would not be tolerated.
-
Colback and Anita are both meh players. I don't see why Anita is considered far superior tbh (assuming we're actually judging players on what they contribute to the side).

There's no way even a nervous, injury plagued Wales could fail to get a point v Andorra.
