  1. And you could bet there would be no unsympathetic morons in the media telling scousers to appreciate the glorious financial stability. Liverpool fans deserve the best.
  2. Aye, Ings is the better all round player. Austin's done very well for an awful team, but doesn't contribute much apart from goals. I'd very happily have either of them.
  3. It's obvious he knows nowt about football and resorts to pathetic cliches. He's a journalist specialising in football finances. Quite a depressing state of affairs that such a thing even exists tbh. Aye. He thinks we're financially sound and to nerds like him, that's all that matters. Forget that Ashley's 8 years have been disgustingly bad... Seriously, imagine how dour you must be to be more interested in finances than the actual football. Nearly as dour as thinking Hatem Ben Arfa wouldn't have contributed more than Gouffran this season? Aye sound. I didn't say that. Anyway, let it go. The reaction to people not worshipping Ben Arfa on here is...creepy.

  6. Yup, at first you hear words like "investment/Champions League/Make our own luck" etc, but if you dissect it, hes very careful to essentially promise nothing at alll. When he says continue to invest- Im certain he means, continue to invest in cheap players to speculate on a profit. Aye that's what I was thinking. "Carry on as we are".
  7. He's had a couple of promising moments, but come on, he's been dreadful. Could be argued he'd do well under a decent manager, but he looks a bit too lightweight.
  8. And they start early July. Thank God Sam won't be around to moan about that every week...
  9. What's ridiculous is that a load of our fans actually will genuinely be grateful to Ashley for it.
  10. Clever. The thought of taking the cups seriously will massively excite some of our more naive fans, but it'll all be forgotten by January.

    John Carver

Starting to agree with you. If Garde don't fancy it, the job is Carver's.
  12. I can see his point, Bolton and Blackburn were obviously worse without him. Doesn't sound like any of the West Ham fans will miss him though, wonder if southern media folk will mention that if West Ham do badly next year...
  13. I might dig out all the posts and tweets from people who got excited at Charnley saying he wanted a manager with a 'philosophy' rather than a yes man.

Ideally we'd get a decent manager (LOL) I'd rather have someone who's so obviously incompetent/someone who's appointment is so staggeringly ridiculous than the next Pardew. I'd rather have fan anger than midtable apathy.
  15. He's done well so far, but I'd like to see what he does in the PL. I once thought Owen Coyle was gonna be massive...!
  16. Nobody can deny he's a decent player, but I've no time for him. Lazy sod who's been missing for months. Would very happily see him sold.
  17. TBF, I don't think a new manager is gonna get him to finish easy chances. It's not as if we haven't created chances for him, he's just a dreadful finisher.
  18. Which naturally means no business at all Be fair, I'm sure we'll sign at least one out of form French striker.
  19. Good game today, but that pass was quite possibly the worst bit of football I've seen in my life (and I watch Mike Williamson every week).
  20. We can make all these sensible points, but we all know it's gonna be business as usual...
  21. Any fan of a club managed by Allardyce will tell you he's as bitter as they come. Very surprised they didn't even try to send us down really.
  22. Well a good manager for a start. And a load of investment. I'm not happy seeing someone like Colback starting every match, never mind people like Williamson and Krul who have been very poor for some time.
  23. He's an unbelievably inept striker. Don't care if he 'works hard' or whatever, he's the worst striker we've had in my time. He has to go.
  24. Pardew was sacked by a League 1 side, so at least we're getting our cast offs from a higher division this time.
  25. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that Ashley is as tight as a duck's arse. I bet he gets annoyed if he loses a penny. The reason he didn't spend that 20m is because relegation seemed so utterly inconceivable in January. Remember, there's also an obscene amount of TV money he'd miss out on.
