  1. Another match we have won without getting out of second gear. Rafa spot on tactically again. Go 1-0 up and let these shit teams have the ball, none of them are good enough to break us down. They all want us to come out and get at them so they can try and play on the counter. Against Bristol City, Brighton & Derby I can barely recall a decent chance any of them have had. Restricted them all to half chances. A seriously good away day that too, best in a while.
  2. Think it depends on the person rather than the team they support. For example, loads and loads and loads of people who support normal clubs still think we're delusional and expect CL football every season.
  3. The source for some people slating and/or holding a grudge against Elliot is a pissed up member of the public in a nightclub.
  4. Think Carr was lauded as a footballing guru when it suited the club and thrown under the bus when that suited them too. He's bent as anything, but nearly every football agent and scout are. A bunch of rich folk doing favours for one another for the right price.
  5. The Manchester derby is an absolute nothing game, only became relevant to anyone when Man City got rich.
  6. Rich man has money in his pocket, shock horror.
  7. Few lads I know are taking their kids and their lass due to the price drop. Looks like it could be a canny crowd. I should hope that they're not taking their lass because she gets in with a price dropped £3 ticket!
  8. Just been on a Derby forum, didn't realise how much of a mess they are in at the moment. Nobody keen on Pearson, terrible start to the season, sold their best player on deadline day, not really bought anyone in this summer and so on. Definitely the sort of game Newcastle United usually loses.
  9. Take Neymar out of that Brazil team and it is very, very average. What has happened there? How have they stopped producing such excellent footballers?
  10. Cannot wait for this now. Unless we win 4-0, I'll be disappointed.
  11. I like him, I don't know why and I don't think I should - but I do.
  12. Lazaar looks like the sort of bloke who'd work in a Moroccan hotel and try to chat up every blonde there.
  13. Think Forest look good this season and could challenge for the top 6, providing Assombalonga stays fit. Us, Norwich, Forest, Brighton, Huddersfield and Sheff Wed.
  14. Most lower league clubs rely on loan players, it'd ruin lower league football and just give even more power to the top. It'd also harm the development on young players, who are not good enough yet to play for the first team but are good enough to step down a league for a season for experience. There should be a cap on the number of players you can loan out, but that is it. I don't know how you can argue that removing the loan system would give more power to the top - the loan system quite obviously does exactly that. Chelsea aren't loaning out 38 players out of some sense of altruism. If you remove the loan system, or severely restrict it, then those players that are stockpiled at places like Chelsea would be forced to find other ways and places to build a career. It's simply a way for bigger clubs to soak up all the best talent - talent that otherwise would be spread across more clubs. There is certainly an argument to be made that it might harm the development of some young players by reducing their access to top level coaching. However, with a more restrictive or non-existent loan system, if you're not good enough yet to play for Chelsea but are good enough to play in League One...then just sign for a team in League One. I'd prefer to see that, than to see Chelsea hoover up everyone to generate more money for themselves. Without the loan system we would never see the likes of Bournemouth & Swansea climbing up the leagues from virtually rock bottom. A lot of lower league clubs with very small budgets would very quickly drop down through the league pyramid (Dagenham & Barnet, for example). It'd be very, very difficult for any club below League One to operate without the loan system. They simple do not create enough revenue to pay for a full squad of permanent players. The top clubs would continue to buy the youngsters and only play them in their development squads/rotation for cup games. It'd ruin the careers of the youngsters that choose to go to these clubs as they would rot without playing virtually any matches until their contract expires. The top clubs would continue to do this and take the risk with the young players in case they turn out to be a superstar. They'd happily take the hit of the 1,000 youngsters that fail to potentially find the 1 Gareth Bale. A young player would gain so much from a loan to a UK club and one abroad, as they'll pick up so much from them. Chelsea know this and use players as pawns with a sell-on value. They'll pick them up for a nominal fee and small wages, loan them out with the new club paying for their services and then sell them on once they've gained the experience from it all. The loan system can work well, providing it is capped or restricted in some way. Chelsea is absolutely ridiculous. I think we're both trying to say the same thing, in different ways.
  15. Love how people keep saying "Spurs will be hoping they get the Moussa Sissoko that played for France, rather than Newcastle" Why? What did he achieve for France? A couple of his storming runs that ended with no end product. This bloke has built a reputation as a good player, despite doing fuck all in his career. If he was that good, he'd have done more to keep us up. None of this "he turns it on and off" bollocks, he never turns it fucking on. He has a good game every now and again because he plays every fucking game of the season, he has a lot more bad games then good which is telling of his ability. It's completely telling that Gouffran has scored as many goals as him for NUFC, in less games. The same Gouffran that plays on the wing (like Sissoko did for us regularly) and has been lambasted (rightly) for being a waste of time and dogshit player. There is no way he's good enough to start for Spurs, they have much better players than him already.
  16. Even Hull managed to strengthen their team fgs, with an owner who wants to sell and no permanent manager. This is Hull, which is a terrible place to live (miles away from any decent city) and probably on par with the mackems. They have no excuses and thoroughly deserve to go down.

  18. Love the club statement Every other player who has left has had a "we wish him well for the future", not Sissoko though. Club clearly hoping he flops and breaks every bone in his body, prick.
  19. mackems signing Mika http://www.noise11.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Mika.jpg
