12 in 28 in a poor team isn't awful like, it's at least ok. He's not just a poacher either.

The name thing's cringey regardless of player. Grown men actually typing out such incredible comedy as 'Paul Dumbshit' or referring to clubs like 'Liverpoo'

How is the P there?!?
-
Aye, always in Carl's shadow

Easy to call them money grabbers or whatever but what more can they achieve at Leicester?

I did an appreciative little 'Hu' sound when I read it. Should have said. Apologies.

Yep. He allowed Ferguson to get inside his head and he snapped. so much in common with KK Testament to how good Ferguson was, like him or not.
-
His distribution wasn't great last year though. Hope thats just thtough poor coaching though.

Didn't stop people banging on about Anita playing for the mighty Ajax and not being used correctly #2014pethate

Anyone care to stick their neck out with predictions for his future? First season he looked destined for a top 4 kind of team eventually, looked a bit less so last season. Poor coaching/second season syndrome or just not cut out for the very top? Think he lacks that extra little bit of pace to reach the very top but if he can nail down a position and gain some confidence and improve his decision making he can be a very good top 8 kind of player. Mainly worried he'll never really make a position his own.

You can't do the first part but the second has legs. There's not enough appetite in the game to try to make it more even though.

Think people who comment don't actually watch our games sometimes or are just so easily influenced they go with the flow of whatever fan/forum opinion is.

I actually really like the spanish two years no prison law, makes a hell of a lot of sense. Is Messi's sentence about right for the crime or has it been pretty lenient though? Would your average Jose get more?

Not if you are playing FIFA16 or something. But of course you can't do both a club job the England one at the same time in real life. It's a little unlike him to not have signed anyone yet, that to me would be a clear signal that he at least thinks he's on his way. As an Englishman that would be a truly dreadful appointment, still if Roy Hodgson and Steve McClaren can be England managers why not this complete tool ? Really the choices they've seemed to have limited themselves to because of a stupid little ingerland mentality are shocking. just offer Wenger a stack of cash, it's simple really, you want to do well in world class tournaments then hire a world class manager not a used car salesman, or whatever vocation in life these English candidates missed. It's not necessarily a little England mentality, I think we should go for an English manager fully aware that the options are bad. Not because I think 'we tried foreign and it doesnt work' like old Ian said, I just prefer national teams to have managers from their own countries. Just wish they'd take a punt on someone unusual rather than a below average dullard. Give it to an ex-player or something. International football is weird, who'd have though Chris Coleman would take a small nation to a semi final? Normal rules don't always apply.

Why not just buy and loan him? There must be an advantage I'm not seeing?

I don't post in a suit.

Not sure why people keep bringing up the group stages. They got through and then no one could beat them, 90 minutes or otherwise. Who deserved to win the tournament most? France because they played better against the weaker teams and beat Germany? Or Portugal because they actually beat France? Great defensive side and deserved winners.
-
I agree it should be an English choice but just give it to someone who would command a bit of respect. Would a guy playing for Guardiola really respect what some midtable manager tells him to do about his playstyle? Would genuinely rather a random ex-player than any of the bog standard options. International football is weird, I'd rather have Capello for Newcastle than whoever the Algeria manager was, but it doesn't necessarily work that way in tournaments.

Cos of wongaloids and hating forrens and that
-
International football's weird anyway, I'd rather take a punt on someone random than a middle of the road prem manager.
-
I love watching England in international tournaments, even when we're awful the actual event of everyone getting together and watching the games is still great. Don't really care what other people think of Pardew, anyone with half a brain already thinks he's a dick anyway. Couldn't care less what the rest of the idiots think.

Yeah i hope he gets one of the best paid manager jobs in the world and ruins my own enjoyment of a world cup, that'd show him.

I think quarters with better performances and eliminated againts a one of the bigger boys with these players would have been par.

There's obviously more to it than just team selection or tactics (not to say they don't matter obviously). There were a couple of close ups of Kane at around the 70 minute mark, and his face wasn't one of determination to make something happen, every pore was absolutely aching with anxiety. Massive fear of failure and the repercussions and I'm sure he's not the only one.
