Let's just hope that recent disclosures/allegations about abuse within football club academies/centres of excellence doesn't include NUFC...not sure if it's rational but the thought of it happening at our club, turns my stomach/makes it feel even worse; as if it's in our name/creates guilt by association.

You're are articulating my sentiments and those of many (former? latent?) Newcastle fans. Thing is, for me, not really sure why--though I think joining here is to blame/thank, I found myself falling back in love with the club last season. Shocking timing, i know but somewhat fitting for someone of my generation that the first season back should be such a rollercoaster of shitstorm and slightly less smelly weather; being a bit crap/prone to relegation still feels a lot more 'congruent' for want for a better word, than the brief periods in the very top drawer we've experienced. What I am trying to say, in my usual word-wanker way, is you can still fall back in love with your team, mate. Best keep your lurking to a minimum if you want to prevent this. But maybe, and I hope it is the case, that the seemingly irrelevant 'lurking' is telling you something. Sod the 'man' you can still support the lads. If you want to... . Two very good saves today, one really high/good spring (can't recall when, first half I think) and other at beginning of second got down phenomenally well/quickly to stop shot (o'kane) which had travelled through legs. Just watched interviews at end (recorded match/5 mins or so behind) what were our fans singing as Gayle & Lascelles walked off at the end? Fans were making loads of noise for them, Gayle was covering his mouth and doing an embarrassed laugh. Something about 'our teeth'?

Typical Ayoze thus far (Leeds) some exquisite touches/delight to watch. Equal amount of unforced errors/bad passes. Needs to do the easier stuff better/more consistently.

People are taking a pop at people, posting within a forum that, as far I was aware, for people to freely express and explore all things related to NUFC. If you don't think good, bad and indifferent sneering/laughing/Micky taking of our only real rivals forms part of the acceptable content of a thread on 'Sunderland' then perhaps you would like to define what you think is acceptable content. I'd be fascinated to read that.

Fair play to the cheeky chappie. Whilst most of us were fantasising over pulling a Swedish looker (was that early 80s TV programme called Annika?--loved that girl :-/ ) he was doing it. Earned a decent wedge along the way as well, apparently.

I was at both Man City games last week, and they had 'honesty' flags which staff handed out and collected back in plastic bins placed by exits. Wonder if they took the idea from our initiative (or Palace, perhaps)? Also, thought if they can get staff doing it, could NUFC not follow suit? Would be a nice touch, ease the burden on the supporters organising this and only involve buying/sourcing half a dozen wheelie bins.
