  1. Yeah, I agree that is becoming an issue, particularly with regard to how youngsters are supposed to get on the ladder. I don’t blame them for not implementing it straight away post-takeover though. I think reviewing it after a full season of being ‘good’ again would be sensible
  2. It’s not quite every game that requires loads of points, Brighton and Wolves went down to 15 this season, but equally, it’s highly unlikely Southampton (or any other game) will drop to Members sale.

BBC and Sky had that figure on there match reports. Someone must have made a mistake somewhere.

That attendance figure has to be wrong. According to this article they sold nearly 30k ST. Even if they don’t count those that didn’t turn up (I thought they did?), there’s absolutely no way over half of them didn’t bother to turn out. Odd. Edit: Twitter says it was 35k, which would seem more likely

13,900 seems a bizarrely low attendance for a league game. Obviously various contributing factors but I assumed they actually had more ST holders than that figure?
  6. If he went to Forest, I’d give him a reasonable chance of keeping them up. They’ve signed some decent enough players. Would obviously take him a while to get his methods working, and might well be too late by then, but he could definitely make them hard to beat, and they’ve got some reasonable attacking players, so you never know. Having said that, sacking Cooper already would be fairly shite given what he’s done for them, but that’s the way it seems to go now.
  7. His lack of self-awareness when doing interviews like that is truly astonishing
  8. If that’s true the manager is an idiot. I know he’s an important player for them, but he’s not good enough to playing when he’s not fit enough to be taking part in warm ups. Anyway, again, Sven Botman….
  9. Apparently. And gave up as soon as it went 0-2. He’s a coward. We saw that with numerous instances when he was here (granted he was very young). The worst being the feinted ‘headbutt’ incident when he squared up to Gary Cahill at SJP Anyway, Sven Botman’s great and he’lll only get better.
  10. Referring to Mitrovic, who is, IMO, the biggest coward in the PL Edit: reading back, original post was ridiculously badly written (blame the ludicrous London traffic that has had me on a bus for the best part of 13 hours today…)
  11. Tremendous. Had half half an hour or so against the biggest coward in the PL, which was enough to make him cry off.
  12. Yeah, it’s not on. They were worried rail strikes might get called making it difficult for people to get there. They were right…

    England

Omar Richards. Was at Reading and looked a decent prospect then, bizarrely, Bayern decided to take him as his contract was up. Played about five games last season and they decided he wasn’t good enough. So became one of Forests 135 signings this window. Don’t think he’s played for them yet, not sure why?
  14. If the Tube was to be part of the strike I reckon this would be gone as well. Doesn’t look like they are though. Tbf I wouldn’t fancy trying to get to Brighton if the trains that run from the city centre to the ground weren’t on.
  15. Everton tickets on sale this morning
  16. No, although the tone of the journos referring to his injury would lead you to come to that conclusion.
  17. Out of interest, what do you get out of being in your seat two hours before ko, when, presumably there’s hardly anyone else there, and not a lot happening on the pitch?
  18. Sounds like he should be back fit before the the WC break. Good news
  19. The fact he was captain of England U21’s and once made the senior squad suggests he was more than capable for a decent period of time (granted not at the time of that video).
  20. The last time we ever saw Emmanuel Rivière darken our doors. I honestly can’t think of a worse player to get substantial playing time in the last 20/25 years.
  21. This moving of the Spurs game (again) after TV fixtures (and it would appear to therefore be set in stone) have been announced is something the Trust need to be flagging with the club as unacceptable. I can’t even work out what the problem is here? Surely Spurs European commitments were known in advance of the initial TV announcement? And if they weren’t there should have been a massive asterisk next to the new date saying it was still subject to change. Not sure how practical it is for the club to attempt to refund fans for travel/accommodation already booked, but it’s probably something that needs to be done (even if NUFC didn’t have much of a say in the move).

    Dan Burn

On the Monday Night Club on 5 live tonight. Spoke mainly about Graeme Potter but also plenty of NUFC stuff. Seems like a top bloke. Will be available on BBC Sounds shortly.
