It's all speculation my man. It's just my prediction that Wolves won't be as good as what people think. Smooth sailing for them last season, it's all about character now as they move in unchartered waters. It seems naive to believe big name signings + winning the championship = premier league survival/success. This league is about having big characters and that much remains to be seen. Ask me again when Wolves hit their inevitable rough patch this coming season - seeing how they react to that will be telling.

This. And this

What's gan on

Ah okay, I get you. I didn't see the hype around any of those players the way there's hype around Foden, but it might just be me. Fair man, it might just be me equally. I remember being excited hearing about Josh McEachran thinking we (England) had a superstar coming through. Same with Will Hughes a few years ago he was made out to be incredible. Foden getting a few games for City under one of the best managers in our lifetime has to count for something though.

Mouez Hassen had an incredible 10 or so minutes against England before getting injured

Get what you're saying although I had a good feeling about it a few days ago when our bid was confirmed. Again, I don't know why for reasons you have stated

I think immediately-speaking he's an upgrade due to his fitness, premier league experience and obvious quality as a footballer. In the long term Merino would probably have progressed into a first team starter as he obviously looked really talented, but as it stands it's still up for speculation whether he would have re-discovered his early form next season, he looked poor at times last season admittedly, and I really like him.

I think it does like, not saying it's wrong, but just that there's a yearly anticipation, expectation & excitement for the youngsters. In recent times you have Hughes, Ward-Prowse, Shaw, McEachran, Armstrong, Redmond, Swift, Oxford, Chalobah (some of which are of course very much still developing). I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just that I think we always get the impression that England have a good set of youngsters each year due to relative success at their level and the factor of unknown quantity.

Neymar feels like a Madrid player like. Mbappe you can see ending up at Barca pretty soon, I think he'll be too big for even a Man Utd or City soon, especially if the tournament keeps going well for him.

I have a good feeling about this one and I don't know why.

Chelsea fans seem to think Mount & Callum Hudson-Odoi are going to be incredible. I haven't seen either play but I hope they're right. My feeling is that every year or two there's 5/6 names banded about. Only 1/2 ever seem to truly step up. Turning young promise at U21 level seems to show very little correlation to becoming a top senior player. Foden, Brewster and Sancho are all in good setups to progress. Sancho is already getting games at Dortmund and Pep/Klopp both seem willing to bring up talented youngsters. Not much faith in Chelsea bringing through youngsters from the academy though True regarding those three. Be interesting to see if those two managers still fancy them if the going gets tough next season, or if they were being played because they were cruising for a large portion of the season. Might be right, but this gets said literally every year.

Christ Just to clarify, by young Iniesta I mean he looks like Iniesta when he was young, not a young version of peak Iniesta. Iniesta when he was 7, got ya'

Man, if they don't get a good start to the league it's gonna turn nasty.

Christ He does look good like, not necessarily a winger either (which is where you often see these youngsters blooded), City brought him on for his first appearances for Toure & then Gundogan, so the fact he was trusted to come on and play centrally is a canny testament to his ability/mentality.

Matt Ritchie (now playing for Portsmouth)

Rafa will know what he's losing in Ritchie & know what he's gaining in Townsend having worked with both players. I'm sure he's weighed the two up and prefers Townsend if this proposed deal is true. The only disappointment I have, and it's a speculative one, is that if Rafa was to leave at the end of the coming season, you would want players like Ritchie around in the transition for his excellent attitude and leadership skills as we move into a phase with what would be an obvious downgrade in manager. -
Translated tweet is great: "Contract | A ✍ company that officially hires a French central player, Johan Cappy, next to the English Crystal Club, in a two-season contract, and the player will wear the 7th ? shirt." Joe Kinnear, is that you?

Matt Ritchie (now playing for Portsmouth)

Huge signing for Stoke if true. There’s signing championship players like Villa, then there’s signing those who reside in the weird space of too good for the Championship but perhaps lacking one or two physical, mental or technical attributes to truly make the step up. Ritchie & Gayle for instance. That said Ritchie served us well last season when it mattered so fair play to him. -
Coach clearly had great faith in him. Bodes well - the goals will come.

I don't rate Mina tbh, he's class at scoring from corners but defensively i've seen him get beaten multiple times against us and against Senegal. He looks very mistake prone to me. Really? Both him and Sanchez have looked imperious when I've watched them. I didn't see them against Japan mind. 3 goals in 4 is pretty astounding for a centre back like. Looked good enough defensively against us too imo, clearly a solid player with much potential still to be realised.
