Jamaal Lascelles (now playing for League One Leicester City)

Think some are going a bit over the top like. He’s had a few poor games by his usually solid standard. Seems like people are looking for faults due to the comments he made - he’s our captain, a young one at that and still a very important player, we need to stay behind him. Nobody benefits from this negative attitude towards him. -
Can't complain about the players commitment having gone down to 10 men. Everybody ran themselves into the ground, and I thought Perez was excellent and added some goal threat to his usual hard work. Don't think we deserved to lose that, they barely threatened us once in the second half. Unlucky really.

Missing the in-possession composure of Schar today. Rondon absolutely superb with the free kick and then the following delivery for Perez. We could do with Ki coming a little bit deeper to link up play, but really we need Kenedy on to pick up the ball and force them backwards. Generally though, I don’t think we have too much to fear in this Wolves side, it’s a fairly even game and at home we should be getting the win this afternoon.

I fucking love him. I'm pretty sure nobody in the world loves football like Ray Hudson does

Yeah but I think he's better utilised away from home; no screaming moaners whenever he loses possession or makes a mistake and his pace on the break. Rafa needs to tell him to be direct and to run at his man, it's where his assists for us have come from. When he's getting down the line his crosses are decent, he has to stop putting his foot on top of the ball and turning in wide areas. It happened in the second half last night and it's frustrating as fuck. Sadly so damn true. That said I don't pay the money to attend games much so who am I to judge the decisions of those that do? Annoys the shit out of me when watching our home games though...

Pure love him. -
Anyone else reckon Murphy is worth a run of games? I like his direct style, maybe Kenedy/Murphy on the wings with Ritchie as an option off the bench for a few games. Just think Murphy hasn't been given an awful lot of time since joining, yet we he comes in after long stints on the sidelines, he tends to provide us with an assist, or even that goal v City.

Yep. Also prevents Ashley from blaming fan negativity should a takeover not materialise. People responding to TMG with vitriol doesn't bode well for the future, mind.

Everton v Newcastle United - 05/12/18 @ 19:45 - No UK TV

Hopefully 5 at the back, exactly the same system as against Burnley just obviously slightly different personnel. I reckon we will score, can we contain them is another matter. The optimistic me says 1-1 or 2-2. Anything more I would be pleasantly surprised. Looking at Everton against Liverpool, I can easily see us getting outclassed, however. -
Was there, that day. Aye same, Strawberry Corner, couldn't believe what I was seeing, his best goal for us imo.

He’s 22 ffs. Some fans expect way too much. He grafts as hard as anyone else in the team, but if it’s not fireworks from him each and every game there’s a portion of supporters who instantly resort to calling him shit. What a load of bollocks, he’s not even close to being shite. Never hides away, is clearly our most skilful player on the ball, always looks to drive us forward - sometimes the only one willing to take responsibility and try make something happen. His defensive contribution for a winger is outstanding, he tracks back effectively. Never afraid to take a shot on and can deliver a good cross into the box. Most of all he gives 100% every game. But he’s shite is he? Piss off man, some of our fans deserve the reputation we have as being too demanding/deluded.

Comfortably the best Everton side in years this, fear we're going to really struggle at Goodison.
-
Pretty fair assessment. Was one of those where every time they went forward I was thinking they would score. Our line was high and they carved us apart at will with fairly simple along the ground through balls. Hoping we return to our usual solidity against Everton. Me too. But without a left back I fear for our solidity. Interested to see what Rafa does. You would think Clark back in to play 3 (5) at the back again, but with Ritchie out he would need to do some shuffling around still.

Atsu to start I imagine. Glad it's not at home, the fans would be licking their lips at the prospect of jeers & moans. -
Ayozé Pérez (now playing for Villarreal)

I thought he was too. We looked a damn sight worse when he went off. He created an actual chance which automatically made him one of our better players. Like Kenedy for example was miles worse, literally did not do one thing memorable Aye not sure was was up with Kenedy, he couldn't even get the ball under control for the most part. Lost track of how many times he stumbled over it & lost possession. Not to single him out like as bar a couple of players, nobody looked particularly good.
