I love him. That piece of skill on the touchline against Man City in the 11-12 season is so beautiful.

Just Norway and Sweden, both of which are massively top-heavy.

The title of this video explains the reason why this England team will never win a final. Hideous stuff. I wonder if Bellingham has got a labubu of himself.

Newcastle United's best 3 transfers since 2020
Infinitely Content replied to joeyt's topic in Football
Regardless of the summer saga, I'm not sure there's a good justification for Isak over Burn. Burn has provided the foundation for everything on the pitch from the moment he signed, right back to his first game where he was imperious in a defence which had been struggling. Even Isak's best and most important moment in black and white, the cup final goal, Burn provided the foundation for with his ridiculous header. And then theres the leadership, versatility and omnipresence, and the most important factor of just being a sound human being which really does matter in this team. -
Newcastle United's best 3 transfers since 2020

Trippier, Burn, Bruno. When Trippier signed he made me realise what a world class player looks like. Having the chance to watch him every week over his first full season was a privilege. Burn's importance and influence has grown over time, from an apparent stop-gap to as good an embodiment of the fans on the pitch as any club could wish for, and one of the most consistent performers in the team. He's been immense. Not a lot needs to be said about Bruno, it's obvious, he's a club legend, up there with the biggest and best names you could mention from all eras of Newcastle United history. -
Definitely surprised at the lack of technical ability he's shown thus far having not watched Forest that much last season. I hope he's not just a player entirely reliant on physical attributes and he's just yet to find his rhythm.

I think it was in part to do with Sunderland's owner being Swiss. He met with Xhaka personally to convince him to join and become club captain.

Was about to say the exact same thing.

Caicedo has been immense.

Unbelievable, ball dawdling back to him on the edge of the box under no pressure and that's his touch Couple more weeks of this and I'll stop laughing and start feeling sorry for him, he's out of his depth in this league thus far.
-
Think it's more "I haven't got a fucking clue what I'm doing" as Klopp's mark on the team fades more week by week.

Decent enough player, but just 3 or 4 of Mbappe, Dembele, Ekitike, Mateta, Thuram and Kolo Muani to get ahead of...

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)
Infinitely Content replied to joeyt's topic in Football
Anderson is still only 22 years old and looks set to establish himself as a regular for the national team (getting in ahead of other highly talented midfielders). Whilst he's not the finished product yet, he seems to be taking big strides in his game, even compared to just last season. He looks like a leader too. By the end of next summer, his reputation and level could be high enough for him to be considered a marquee signing. -
He was poor for Man United though, would have been a gamble.

Beautiful. That sense of wonder is a special thing, a gift. It makes me emotional just thinking of the film, and of how something so small can represent and symbolise so much.
-
Me too, heartbreaking yet beautiful film. One of the best in British cinema imo.
-
Beautiful scenes, Tuchel leaning into his ayurvedic sensitivities. Bellingham comes across as a proper arsehole and doesn't have anywhere near the level of talent and impact on a team to even slightly warrant it.

Hamrun Spartans and Sigma Olomouc a few highlights

Sensational at times tonight, there's times he comes deep for the ball and looks drowned out by 3-4 opposition players and he comes up surfing. He's so clean and precise, a really enjoyable watch. Can't wait to see his development for us.
