  1. Well, Fernandes' goal contribution record is fantastic. I'm happy for you, man Enjoy it.
  2. Exactly half his goals. Indeed. 20 goals, 10 pens (which need to be scored FWIW). 10 from open play, the most of any midfielder. Salah has scored 8 pens in the same period. Vardy 10 pens. Don't see the issue. "Since his debut, Fernandes has scored 28 times in all competitions - more than any other Premier League player - and he has also provided 17 assists, which means his total goal involvement of 45 is better than any Premier League player in that period. Only Fifa Best winner Robert Lewandowski, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have more goal involvements in Europe's top five leagues than Fernandes since he signed for United. Boss Solskjaer said after he netted his first goal against Watford: "He felt like a presence in the group from the first minute, a bit of a mix between Paul Scholes and Juan Sebastian Veron - the temperament of Veron and a lot of the quality of Scholesy." That quality saw Fernandes win four Premier League player of the month awards in 2020 - the first man to take the accolade four times in a calendar year. In comparison, Ronaldo, Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard and Alan Shearer won four player of the month awards in their entire careers in this country." PENANDES. No issue, was simply answering alex's question. Don't be so defensive, everyone unanimously thinks he's a very good player
  3. He was fantastic, I love watching him. I sometimes think 'this can't be sustainable though' - like there must come a time where his energy levels dip a bit and he could even be forgiven for getting pissed off his effort isn't matched by some of his team mates. But no, every week he leaves it all out there. Not many like him around still.
  4. Good first half with some really bad misses costing us, particularly from Fraser twice in about 2 minutes. Second half our whole tempo slowed down and Palace managed the game comfortably.
  5. Will Hasenhuttl be able to pick them up a second time from such an embarrassment? Will be a lot more difficult this time now it's no longer just a one time, freak anomaly, but clearly a serious mentality and game management problem.
  6. Fuming if he's not starting at the weekend like. Be kicking right off. Maureen downstairs will really have something to complain about.
  7. Hadn't checked the other games until you said that, was expecting like 3 or 4-0 Fucking hell. 9. AGAIN?!
  8. Fair play to them I suppose. They were really solid second half and as Disco said, managed the game almost perfectly. If only one of those Fraser chances had gone in...
  9. That's a very entertaining 45 minutes. We still have Saint-Maximin to introduce too. Definitely for Fraser who has cost us being at least level there.
  10. I very much approve that we're trying to pass through the lines to feet even if it doesn't always come off. We need to keep that high pressing intensity up though, feel like it's dipped a bit.
  11. Nah, this is more entertaining, I can actually watch. Oh, of course
  12. We need to sort ourselves out here like. In a strange way, it's even more frustrating actually playing decent football and losing/missing chances than it is when we just roll over
  13. He is. I reckon he could become one of the best players in the world. Him, Foden & Grealish for England could be incredible.
  14. I watched a few videos on youtube, purely because I know very little about him and can't ever recall seeing him play. He certainly looks like what you have described above. Box to box, can press, tackle, pass, likes to run with the ball, etc. The goal he scored against Liverpool reminded me a bit of the one Hamman scored for us against against Juve. Sounds like Yaya Toure. Fwiw I don't think he's much of a tackler. Certainly wouldn't consider him box to box. He made his debut against us at St James' where he was really quiet and on the periphery of the game. Some nice touches at times but also seemed to give the ball away quite easily. He had that mad game against Liverpool where screamers were flying in all over the place. Watched him a few times in the Europa League where he was much more influential but really hard to judge as most of those games are Championship level opposition.
  15. This is the sort of mentality though that Bruce stuck with when he went 4-4-2 against Brighton because it’d be unfair on Carroll to leave him out. Disagree with that. There is barely anything between the two keepers. Darlow has shown he has improved since his younger days for us in the championship, he has more than earned the right to keep his place. I don’t see that the same as playing a striker for one game after he’s had a decent game, which at the time was probably fair enough. That's not true, Dubravka transformed us defensively on his arrival, prior to that most of us would be shitting ourselves whenever we faced a long range effort or a cross. For that contribution alone Dubravka deserves the loyalty. Not to mention he's a far better distributor of the ball, equally as good (or better) at shot stopping, better in one on one situations, better command of his area, better hands, more communicative, a bigger personality, a better leader and an experienced international. (or what ON said very succinctly)
  16. Lest we forget the enigma that was Gabby Obertan. Rapid. My favourite shit player.
  17. Yep, said it before we should be looking to cash in on Darlow's form and keep Woodman as back up to Dubravka. That would all make too much sense though. We'll probably get rid of Woodman and let Dubravka leave through poor man management and have to go buy Jason Steele.
  18. Who is the other one? Haaland and... Sorloth? He's the only one I can think of anyway although he may not make that amazing category Sure he's a lot better than he was able to show for Palace mind. He's good for the national team and he was on fire in Turkey (albeit that's not the best measurement). Essentially he just works well with Haaland up top and King doesn't work with any of them. I was genuinely asking btw not taking the piss I thought there might have been some other young Norwegian talent not on my radar or something.
