James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

I suppose that we could be fighting with them for position in the table will only make us more determined. I cant see that we wouldn't leapfrog these if we pull this off. -
On completely unrelated matters, when is the rail seating/terracing coming into play does anybody know?

Those generic temporary podiums that half the ground can't see are one thing, but at Wembley where there's goddam steps and a balcony!?! Generic tournament logos. Ciao, the Mexican chilli and the star spangled banner with a football on it would just be a green/white/red red/white/blue swirl of nothingness now.

Sad thing is that's not even the first time I've seen Mag coppers/stewards blamed for stuff. Nor even the first time agianst Coventry. The last time they played Coventry it was the same thing. Can they go more than a month without stuff like this happening?

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)

The graceless braggodicious pr1ck had won 5 out of 28 when Short sacked him. They went on to win 12 out of their next 22 after. Every manager he ever appointed was a bigger mistake than sacking Bruce -

He reminds me very much of Frank Drebbin. Don't even meen the physical similarities. -
Fans, players and media who think "its coming home" means a trophy not the actual sport. The clues in the next line "footballs coming home"

Used to like walking out of the ground to Whitesnake's 'We Wish You Well', it was a real calm after the storm vibe, sauntering across the then new Leazes to it. Keegan used to end his interviews with 'wish you well', must be a link.

Started as far back as Robert Fleck

Agree with that. The approaching the teams coming out tune of my early days going. Think we could do with discussing music in general. Maybe taboo in some cases but I'm fed up of Blitzkrieg Bop, is Moving On Up at full-time not redundant now thematically? and are we going to persist with Hey Jude since everyones ripping it off now

Maybe, can't say I follow it in recent years but there's been plenty of teams run straight through that league after getting promoted to it over the years to the top-flight. Sheffield United twice, Bolton, Man CIty, Middlesbrough, Fulham, Wolves, Watford, Notts County (Cambridge were a game away) nevermind consolidate too and the same can be said of Fulham, Norwich, Watford etc in the PL.

Just catching up. I think Dalglish did the worst job of the lot of them. Followed by Souness. But didn't and don't dislike Dalglish. Don't like Souness on any level and find him a horrible derranged person, not sure its hate because it cant be the same as Allardyce or Bruce levels. Bruce Allardyce Souness

They not realised through the super close bond and special interest in global events that Bilbao aren't new to 'supporting terrorism' (ETA). Love the 'fake bond' we have with them. Be news to everyone from both clubs that was at the two games in the 90s and Futbol Mundial must have hired a load of actors when they covered it and the Mayor of Bilbao, but compared to their deep bond of having the same colour shirt, like a thousand other teams it is pretty fake like

He's getting some abuse online. West Brom fans consoling themselves with bets on him to be the first sacked, "Bruce has literally done nothing tactically" "Lai vetoed a move to hire Wilder as manager" Absolutely disgusting stuff.

That's when you'll really see the innovative training method of making players run during pre-season whilst shouting random numbers at them pay off
-
Think the worst place for this match is Wembley. So no doubt it'll be played there until we all turn to powder after this weekends final
-
That's not unusual. Motherwell, St Johnstone, Kilmarnock, St Mirren always more Rangers/Celtic fans than home fans. Like when we played at QPR and Wimbledon under KK

Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to Tour Singapore

We've been battle tested this preseason. That's assuaging. Though it'll matter little when the nerves kick in for next week in a few hours. -

Is that arc from the roof of their old stadium? Lush touch if so. -
Named after Princess Diana before she died?!
