Doesn't seem right but could be would guess three of Shearer, Bellamy, Robert, Solano and Speed must have Top scorers in the country in 93/94 but Cole/Beardsley hoovered up a huge amount of them.

"we want our Tottenham back" here you go
-
Don't know how that sets them up for you. I'm always mindful of a response after a result like this but if any club wouldn't have one it'd be these.

Had Spurs down for 61points plus whatever they got against us, so 61. And ourselves requiring 6points now. Would mean Villa having to win 5 out 6 and Liverpool 5 out of 7 minimum.

Been a 6-1 under Sir Bobby, a 4-0 under Sir Bobby and 5-1 under Rafa since then. But imagining Daniel Levy feeling like Gerry Francis looked that day brings me off
-
Though they look the last team/set of fans/club to do it, a response from Spurs in the next couple games wouldn't vex me

c**t on the PA straight in there to kill the moment

Gives you palpatations every game does Schar with his injuries

Shame about the hat-tricks, but pragmatically sound with games midweek and the drop in tempo
-
Cock and balls in Spurs attacking third.

Think the last time Spurs lost 8-0 Alan Pardew was playing for them well worth mentioning
-
Often goes that way but with our coach and options off the bench we'll see. Leicester 6-0 HT 7-1 FT, Antwerp 4-0 HT 5-2 FT, of course QPR 5-5

Levy thinking up another anti-NUFC scam as we speak

were not nervous, were not nervous, Were not nervous anymore, were not nervous anymore

Don't know about not being enough. Something like 12 out of 14 results have gone their way this week, they're being gifted a play-off place, even when there's been two teams playing each other its been a draw and most of them have tanked against relegation fodder.

Yes! There's something about seeing the stadium and loads of fellow fans that causes a 'no selling'. -

Love/hate that I get nauseous an hour before games again. -

Was so confident about this for weeks. Always thought Brighton would be very tricky and edgy but these I fancied. Not so much now. Its a massive game for them too, and I expect a redoubling of their efforts rather than a smug roll into to town and get chewed up by the intensity. Wary of their propensity for good fortune, diving and favourable refereeing/var decisions. -
They've at least a coupple soft penalties themselves lately (tumbles to ground with some contact), so cest la vie

At least half of those aren't fondly remembered here at all, and rightly so. Rafa, Terry Mc, Keegan, Beardsley and the rest are debatable. Just personally I'd include Barnes too. Barry Venison would be miles ahead of the rest for us but not sure as a fringe player he'd be fondly remembered on Liverpool. Could say that about anybody and anybody in the cold, boring, light of day as opposed to the thrill of divisions/belonging. At least there's a fun element to it with football.

Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26
Wolfcastle replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
Newcastle is twinned with Atalanta so that's (too) sweet. -
Play-off finals shouldn't be there either. Finish 6th draw two games and win on penalties get a nice win at Wembley, up the steps and a trophy whilst some poor c*nt finishes 25points ahead of you gets promoted on a Tuesday night at Wigan.
