  1. Chelsea kicked on under Matthew Harding's money in the late 90s but until then I wouldn't even say they were West Ham. 7,000 for a home game in 1992 in the top flight. They were 7th in the league at the time. Absolute nothing club. Not big enough to rile, fans too nasty to have a soft spot for.
  2. Better off asking which pundits aren't thick now Stephen Warnock
  3. Think I need at least an almost insurmountable gap to fifth to placate my doubts. 7 points clear with 3 games left sort of gap
  4. The thought of Wovles and Palace in the PL next season bores me even now.
  5. Every result is going the mackems way these last few weeks, at least this one is totally expected
  6. Really didn't expect Leeds-Leicester at least to be this bad. Had 2-2.
  7. Is Wolves - Palace shit? Just seems like the most obvious shit game since Wimbledon v Luton in the late 80s
  8. Team in the biggest shit almost always does. Which I'm sure we'll be bearing in mind
  9. Also Gordon's going to feature a lot, with a three game week. I'd rather not give them that focal point and can see it going how it always went for Ginola back against us. There again if he scores in a winning effort it would be most pleasing.
  10. Cannot shake the feeling its going to be like last year. All bets are off when a club is in their position and its too late to boo, moan, issue death threats and may as well get behind the team. Were obviously better. By far. But have seen this enough from these c*nts alone to know better than to rely on logic.
  11. Smart move refunding the fans. Will take more toxicity out of the home game midweek than anything else they could have done which in turn is probably a better bet than any preparation they're doing.
  12. Same. Such style. Often not substance mind with Prosinecki/Suker/Boksic. Was a bit miffed Boban wasn't at Harper's testimonial so could check him off the list of players I seen at SJP. Alluded me along with Baggio and Stojkovic.
  13. The Spurs half looks like what the Predator would see if it saw the Isak/Willock goal celebration
  14. What a player. Based on his stats wasn't expecting him to be prolific but was anticipating some succulent finishing. Beardsley and early-Cisse-esque levels of confidence in him finishing.
  15. We've completely discombobulted that club.
  16. Spurs: second rung club with occasional flash in the pan, perpetually over hyped by the media which has a knock on effect on the fans demanding to be more than they've ever reallly been, with propensity for cowardice on the field and go-to club for England caps. gizza job Levy
  17. Ridiculous how far "Knows the club" goes.
  18. We are NETD. Have been for years. Usually are. That's the league table placing one. Its just when that's the case nobody gives a fuck on our side and they flip the rules to something else on theirs.
  19. Its going to get worse not better regardless of standing. Goes with expectations. Sky sanitised the game and changed the clientele, I hated but its been so long the case now its long since been a redundant point. I remember dot com getting uppity about people using flares, might have been dickheads doing it but the point still stands. Dortmund, the extreme example, is not replicable in this country for those reasons. You've been liable to get chucked out or a word for less for decades here. Not sure we should get embarrassed by players calling for more energy, its often a gesture of that and only possibly because high levels are attainable. You see players doing it all the time winning corners and free-kicks and stuff everywhere, so everywhere must be equally shit.
  20. Happened during the KK days too that are possibly now being used as the gage.
  21. I've always thought the atmosphere is better anywhere when the fans feel needed and the game is there to be won than when the game is won. The Leicester 7-1 would be an example or any thrashing Man United have handed out over the years as opposed a tight game versus a rival. Probably have a different outlook if the halves were reversed. Either way, waste of life to get worked up about the atmosphere not being up to some standard instead of just enjoying that.
  22. Outdated but I'm recalling a chant from 97/98 at SJP which I still remember people being baffled about for exactly the reason you mention and which I can imagine is a current sentiment. League wise a couple 3rd places and as many relegation battles since they were 3rd in the 2nd Division in the 70s - they were exactly where they'd always been far as i knew.
  23. Gutted for Brighton. Not fond of Man United. Cunts like these just feel fated in shoot-outs.
  24. Would take a point. Based on their galvanisingly desperate situation and envisaging a game just like last season. Have us not needing that many and has to be a couple other wins in there with the worst will in the world worry for Gordon a bit, think it'll help the crowd focus on not wanting to kill their own players
  25. They're the kings of the pointless token consolation goal that only spoils the other teams clean sheet and pauses the fun 7-1, 6-1, 5-1, 6-1
