Terrible players who become Messi/Ronaldo incarnate when playing us
Wolfcastle replied to gjohnson's topic in Football
Brian Horton managed teams -
Andreas Moeller, Marc Wilmots, Robbie Earle
-
Balotelli, Owen, Pogba - was proven right on all three predictions, all sizzle and no steak also Beckham, great at a right-footed free-kick/cross (same skill) and diving and scamming instead of having to beat somebody (which he couldn't)

Depends on what each of our objectives are. For those of us that are fine with midtable, no relegation battle and looking to Europe, Dubs, Targett and Burn are fine for that. Be looking at too much of a new team to upgrade them specifically, though there's too much smoke about a keeper. New centre-back is pretty imperative. I'd see whoever it is as partnering Schar/Burn whilst one of them replaces Lascelles. CF, CM, CB.

Bizarre when we got 52000 every week in the championship under Ashley when we were sh1t just a few years ago. They're probably referring to the very relevant few years during a boycott in the early 90s late 80s. Whilst ignoring the fact Maine Road was full once in a blue moon then and into the PL era. Wonder if there's a paralell between Robert and ASM. Robert could be frustrating under Sir Bobby because we had little room for improvement and his working harder could be a crucial percentage point for us, whereas under Souness you'd sacrifice that gladly for his assists and set pieces because there was massive room for improvement and naff all else. ASM is now, a worse version of Robert under Sir Bobby where he was Robert under Souness under Bruce.

Sad obligation of a procession of a game in bored ground. Was always a total write off. Serves those in the media right for building it up like it would be anything other than what its always been.

I said second time around in fairness

Opinion was mixed on Baggio with Juve and Italy when he was the best player in the world. Got injured, couldn't get back in the side, Juventus won the league for the first time in 10years, sold him, won the champions league the year after, went on to dominate. Depends if you want to marvel over a beautiful footballer like Baggio or improve the team and have a better chance to win things.

Ginola won the PFA player of the year in a bang average Spurs side in 1999. I don't remember Beardsley getting the slightest criticism second time around or Ginola until Shearer then Dogleash started moaning a year later. Speaking of which I read an old match report criticising Shearer the other day. You cannot compare the contributions so why can't we criticise a player whose had one good game this year? Were beyond HBA, ASM providing some entertainment on an otherwise pointless afternoon now and looking for what makes the team more likely to win. PS has their been any booing anyway?

Can easily just cite European exertions too

Leeds, Burnley or Southampton. Think Leeds will get at least something against Chelsea midweek and think Southampton won't get another point.

Manchester City vs. Newcastle United - 8/5/22 @ 4:30pm (Sky Sports)

No need to go daft Pep lad. 2-0 and save the legs. Remember that time you wanted to sign for us and Sir Bobby good lad. -
Did anyone want Man United to win the title over Blackburn
-
Surprised they didn't wait until the three minutes from time for the equaliser tbh that's usually the way this goes
-
Still sounds like the most sensible thinking they'll have applied for years.
-
Complete heartless sh1tshow shambles that club.
-
Its perfect because the higher level test is just what Anderson needs too Pending Shola's assessment of the situation that is
-
Good job they didn't still play at Bath, otherwise some clown would make the unfunny pun that the fans had flooded onto the pitch
-
Was like a roided up version of when a manager says he going at the end of the season and things go tits up.
-
Don't fancy Northmpton in the play-offs after that
-
I had Southampton going down but that was predicated on Burnley winning today mind. Losing to them today puts Brentford fully on the beach against Leeds and Everton which helps that. Don't think Southampton will get another point. More chance of Burnley turning the current scores around then them but virtually no chance of either.

Is. Deserve to be just for pulling off grey an red stripes. Matjaz Florijancic and all that.

General NUFC stuff: club crest to be changed (Official)

I'll accept that in itself is a debate, though not which was the better player. Their respective careers are incomparable. Though having said that any match write ups I've seen at the time fit my own view that he was generally our best player at the time. The gap was 3points after his debut too. Some people tend to think thats when the rot started.
